“Like a second home - but full of golf stuff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2012

On arrival we were warmly greeted and led to a homely and comfortable, tastefully decorated room. Had a great nights sleep in a very comfortable bed. The breakfasts were splendid and generous and the host and hostess were both immensely friendly and helpful with directions, even mapping out a driving route for us to our next destination that led us through the connemara lakes district. Some of the most spectacular scenery I have ever seen in my life.

The ensuite was pretty tiny and the golf memorabilia a little kitch but the experience was overwhelmingly charming.

During september I at random travelled accross Ireland.I visited Westport, went to the beach, swan a short time and then played golf. In the evening I discovered Augusta Lodge. Very well welcomed by Dave.
If you are fan of golf , you will appreciate the decoration.
Dave gave me good advices to choose restaurant, pub and to visit museum.
The full Irish breakfast was the best that I had during my trip .
I know that when I will come back to Augusta Lodge, i will stay several days to learn more about the country and to spend good time. Thierry Veau

The name says it all! Augusta Lodge really is a little taste of Augusta National. From the putting green to the most magnificent collection of golf memorabilia to be behold.
Accomidation is 5 star with the addition of hosts who can give first class tourist information recommendations.
Recommend for any golf enthusiast

Great place to stay, close to town, super clean, great food and great hosts,Dave and Stephanie are more than helpful and they make you feel right at home.
Only took us ten minutes to walk to the pubs and downtown restaurants, and easy driving distance to other sites around Westport.
And what a great town Westport is for traditional music and that pub atmosphere.

We booked in at Augusta Lodge for two nights and stayed for four! I think that speaks for itself. Great location with easy access to the town centre and to the wonderful 'Great Western Greenway' - the off-road walking and cycling track which runs from Westport to Achill. The accommodation was spotless and Dave the proprietor was friendly and helpful with lots of time for all his guests. En suite bedroom was bright and cheerful and oh so quiet! A good experience? Yes!

Nice and clean room with plenty of space. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Dave and Stephanie made our stay very comfortable. They recommended places to visit around Westport and provided us with maps and directions. Breakfast was VERY GOOD and there was a lot of options available. It's only a 5 minute walk to town, and there's plenty of parking available on site. I would strongly recommend this B&B if you are planning to visit Westport.

We stayed at Augusta Lodge for a little one night visit to Westport.
We actually found the place a little difficult to find as the website does not seem to be accurate but after driving around for ten minutes we got there!
The owners are so friendly and chatty and our room was cosy and clean with a small bathroom.

It is a short walk into town and the putting green in the garden is very cute!

Our bed was so comfy that we slept in and missed breakfast which is a pity but I'm sure we shall return in the future!
