Had lunch here with family recently and it was just great. The set menu has good choices of excellent fish (meat also but not as many choices) and is great value at 21.00 euro for two courses and the portion sizes are generous. The service is also excellent and the waitress and chef were really helpful about making some changes we asked for. We had a wonderful lunch and spent several lovely hours over our meal. I have been to this restaurant in the evening a few times and it is always excellent but this is my first time having Sunday lunch there and I will certainly return. Well done to the team at Quay Cottage.

We originally went to The Helm restaurant which was very crowded and noisy. A patron recommended this restaurant down the street. What a wonderful treat. Quaint restaurant with excellent food. Waitress staff were very accommodating and went out of her way to welcome us and find us seats even though the restsurant was fully booked. A great place to eat.

It was a brilliant day, and six of us decided to try Quay Cottage for their new Sunday Lunch. It was fabulous. We tried the new Mescan beer from the local brewery in the outdoor seating area first while studying the special Sunday menu, which we were told changes every Sunday. The beer is limited production and brewed right on Croagh Patrick. Delicious! The menu was limited but nicely varied. Two courses for about €20. A great deal for gourmet quality. I had the salmon terrine as a starter which was sublime -- really special, but the chowder looked fantastic. The homemade tomato bread disappeared quickly. I then had collops of monkfish, perfectly cooked with a delicate glaze. Certainly fulfilled my vision of the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon among friends. Thanks Quay Cottage!

Had excellent locally brewed beer (Mescan) along with a fabulous meal of steamed mussels and fresh caught haddock. Wonderful location on the water in Westport and you can walk straight into the grounds of Westport House from the restaurant.
