Tried to eat here on Sunday evening but no car parking available anywhere. Called in at 5.15pm on the Monday for a light meal. No parking problems and a very warm welcome from the team.
The Sheebeen is in a fantastic location with great views and outside seating to enjoy it from if it's not raining! The pub is made up of a number of very nice nooks and crannies to sit in and has real character and a great atmosphere. The restaurant is quite large and can probably seat 40 to 50 people. The toilets are ok - could do with a refurb!! By the time we left at 7pm, the pub and restaurant were filling up at quite a rate. A popular place and rightly so. There are many awards on the wall + it is included in the Michelin Guide 2014.
We had the vegetable soup and chicken salad starters. These were excellent with my partner, who is often hard to please, highly praising the salad. I had a crumble pudding which was great. Service was excellent.
Well worth a date in the diary if you are in the area.
Would we return - absolutely but we'd book a table and get there early to get a parking place!
