This house provides 5 star facilities and accommodation in a stunning location.
The house was updated in the last 18 months and no expense was spared.
The owner, Michael, popped in to see all was ok and was really interested in receiving our feedback to ensure any further changes he may make will further enhance the wonderful experience of staying there. From our 1st arrival when Eamon and Margaret couldn't have been more helpful right up to.our departure, everything was just perfect. We will definitely be back!
Just arrived home having spent the weekend at this amazing house at Old Head Beach, Louisburg. We were an extended family of 12 having a family gathering. The house is 5 star throughout..from the high tech kitchen to the sprawling sitting/dining area... the bedrooms are superb with the most comfiest beds ever.
.bathrooms and ensuites are so nice too. All rooms are climate controlled which was very comfortable. The views of Croagh Patrick with the sunrise was beautiful. There is a vast BBQ area which would be so good to use in good weather. The beach is just a 2min walk, it was so tranquil there.. we didn't have great weather but we enjoyed the beach nonetheless, I can only imagine how fantastic it would be with sunshine..Eamonn the caretaker, welcomed us to the house, a very nice person and very helpful, he was just a phone call away if needed. We used Ollies Cab Taxi to transport us into and from Westport which is about a 20 min journey. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner Michael, he is a very genuine nice man. We have rebooked to visit again next year!! Looking forward to our return visit..
Stunning part of the world. Amazing views of the West Coast of Ireland and of Croag Patrick...the Holy Mountain, from this very well appointed holiday home. The large picture windows give you a continuous picture of Mother Natures beauty. We were here 2yrs ago and really loved the house and position. Since then the house has been increased to sleep 11. All bedrooms have their own shower rooms. Which are well designed and you are supplied with plenty of towels. Kitchen is well equipped and great laundry room too. Outside area and garden are very accessible and great for children. A short walk down to lovely beach. When the weather is fine you can not beat it! Unfortunately, can not rely on it but still a wonderful place to relax and unwind. Will definitely return again.
Absolutely thrilled when we arrived to see the beautiful house and stunning location. Made most welcome by Eamon and Margaret. The house was really spacious even with six adults and 5 children we had plenty of room. The outside space was great for the children to play and the beach which was really nice was only a minute away. The warm outside shower was great for sandy kids. Views over the sea to Achill on one side and to Croagh Patrick on the other were fantastic. There were days when we didn't feel the need to leave the house, just stay and enjoy the peace and quiet. Louisburgh was only minutes away and Westport about 15 minutes in the car. Loved going up the lane to see the two donkeys. We had a wonderful holiday in Ireland, many thanks to Michael and his team

what a had a fantastic time my husband and five kids had at lagan house, the house is perfect and of a high standard finish, it has been one of the best places we have stayed with the stunning views of the sea and the back drop of croagh Patrick that is truly wonderful, and I love the layout of the house ...the massive open plan kitchen, dinning and sitting was brilliant and your attention detail in every room and the clever use of mirrors through out, great storage throughout catering for the needs of large family. The kids loved the outside space for kicking the ball around and my youngest boy loved the daily visits from the pheasent lol....there was nothing that I could fault. Less than a couple of minutes from the beach and you can fully appreciate its outstanding location when you have a look across from old head beach pier to see how wonderfully the house sits. Its certainly is five star living but yet you have created it as a home from home with the added luxurious finishings ....perfect . Thanks ever so much for allowing us to stay here and all you help along the way. We never got to say goodbye to Eamon and thank him for his help during our stay so hoepfully you can pass it on as very much appreciated his time. I hope the house was okay on our departure I would have like to have got the beds stripped down and a quick Hoover but we forgot about the time change of the clocks going forward so run out of time lol.....I hope to get back to the lagan house in the near future and pick when the weather will be a bit warmer and we can make good use of the beach and outside facitlties off the bbq area, as this area is also finished to great standard love the combination of cobbling and flag stone and the beautiul trees that line the drive down and I'm sure all your rose bushes look lovely in the summer time as I say nothing that I can fault about the house you have thought of everything. Thankyou
My family and I stayed at Lagan in late August for 1 week. It was a bit of a family reunion with some of us living in England and others scattered across Ireland - 13 of us in total. We had a warm welcome to a spotless house, lovely fresh bed linen and plenty of nice towels. The house is beautifully finished inside and out and is well thought out. It even has a warm outside shower to clean off the sand on return from the beach. We had children ranging from age 3 – 17 and the house met everyone’s needs - it was spacious and well kitted out too. It is literally 100 meters from the beach, The scenery is stunning with Croagh Patrick out one window and a magnificent view of the sea out the other window! It's a short drive to Louisburgh and a 20 minute drive to Westport. I would highly recommend staying at this house and if we go to the west coast of Ireland again I would not hesitate to stay here. A very memorable holiday, thank you Michael and your team.

We were a party of 7 spending a week at Lagan for the first time, my sister, my 2 sons, my daughter in law and my 2 grandchildren aged 6 and 4 years. On arrival we were overwhelmed by the beauty of the location, the great welcome we received from Michael, the owner, Margaret, the housekeeper, and Eamon, the caretaker, always available if needed but not necessary, as everything we needed for a perfect holiday was to be found in Lagan. The accommodation was excellent with lots of space, the kitchen facilities were all new and modern, the kids loved the water and ice dispenser. We loved all the extra touches, televisions in all the very comfortable bedrooms, modern bathrooms, 2 new hair dryers, barbecue, washing machine and dryer, outside shower essential with 2 very happy children covered in sand after a day on the beach. 2 very comfortable chairs by the window to enjoy the spectacular views, outstanding in all weathers, the sunsets, Croagh Patrick surrounded by clouds, my 6 year old grandson's comments on trying out one of the chairs "This is the life". Just sumed up the whole experience. The beach is a short stroll from the house for those into water sports or just to sit and enjoy. Louisburgh is close by and Westport just a little further but not to be missed. We also visited Achill, Cong, Galway and the family home in Kilmovee. The motorways are well signposted for those wanting to see a bit of Ireland. What a great place to spend a holiday!
