Description: An Port Mór Restaurant is run by Chef-Proprietor Frankie Mallon. Our philosophy is to use seasonal, artisan produce from local suppliers. House specialities include pot roasted pigs cheeks with black pudding & apple and vanilla sauce and 21 day dry-aged sirloin. The main emphasis is, however, on local fresh seafood and shellfish, particularly lobster, crab, scallops and langoustines fresh from the west coast of Ireland, especially Clew Bay.

“Will be back!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 9, 2012

Everything about this experience was excellent, from making the booking with the chef, Frankie to the actual meal itself. Frankie was helpful and friendly on the phone and told me about their cusine and early bird menu etc. As it was my boyfriend's birthday he said he would make sure there was a candle in the desert after our meal. The place itself was cosy and cute, we had a lovely window seat. We had soup and a goat cheese starter, for mains we had vegetarian puff pastry tartlets and trout plus one desert. The waitress informed us when paying that desert wasnt charged for because of the birthday. Overall a great meal, excellent value and lovely staff! Will be back!

“Best Restaurant I've been at!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 13, 2012

This was possibly the best meal I had at a restaurant! Staff were really friendly. The meal was superb! Got a variety of different breads to try at the start and then sweets to try at the end. I don't know much about food but the menu had a really good local variety to it. Even had pigs ears as a starter! Also got a shot of alcohol at the end for digestive purposes! This is definately an excellent choice for eating out in westport! Would definatley go there again!

Lovely meal with friends. Great fish options and good prices. Well served and with a complimentary drink at the end. The wine was excellent and well priced. Highly recommended in a town with lots of good food options.
