We had a great stay in Westwood House for three nights Declan and Maire were wonderful hosts and were so welcoming and friendly. We were met with lovely tea and home baking.Their house is lovely and just 10 minutes from the centre of Westport. Breakfast wassuperb and we couldn't possibly have eaten any more and Irish food is wonderful. They were very informative of their home town and surrounging area which was great. Cong was a lovely day out, this is the village where the Quiet Man! was filmed, well worth a visit. My 19 year old son and myself 45 yrs climbed to the top or the holy mountain Croagh Patrick a great achievement but the most difficult thing that I have ever done what a view from the summit! breathtaking. We will definately stay in Westwood house again and can highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys a homely atmosphere. 10 out of 10!

Room Tip: Rooms on suite and very comfortable.

My father and I stayed here for 3 nights and cannot find fault. Welcomed into the home with fresh coffee to find a comfortable, clean room. Breakfast was fantastic and the owners offered us great advice as to local activities. Situated in a place far enough out of town to be quiet, but not too far to walk into the town centre. Will definitely be back here if (more like when) we visit the area again!

If you're looking for a great place to stay on a budget then look no further. I think you would be hard pushed to top this b&b at any price. Very welcoming and the choices at breakfast will suit everyone (have the full irish). the bedroom was spotless with tea and coffee making facilities. Many thanks again Moira and Declan for welcoming us into your home.

We actually travelled around Co.Mayo in September 2009 and I've been meaning to write a review since. We found Westwood by chance when travelling through Co. Mayo and it was a delight to stay there. The owners were very helpful and even gave us a lift into town! We insisted on walking back though. What was nice were the little things supplied in the bathroom in case you'd forgotten something. Really useful, especially for the ladies. Would most definitely stay again.

If you need a place to stay in Westport then look no further than Westwood House. This great B&B is located within a short walk of the town centre so it's quiet with good off road parking but near enough to sample the tradtional music in the pubs (one of the town's many attractions) without havng to take the car down. Maire & Declan are delightful friendly people offering wholesome varied breakfasts, lots of useful information on the area and whatever time of day there is always a welcoming cup of tea. We are definitely staying again!

We left it a little late and drove in with no reservation. We were greeted like old friends and our luggage was scooted in before we could pick it up! Our room was neat, clean, fully equipped and quiet. Our next surprise came in the morning when we went for breakfast and found an excellent choice of fruits and cereals before being given many options for the cooked breakfast and enjoying it immensely. Lots of good advice here about local attractions. We ended up staying an extra night as we enjoyed it so much.

Stayed here recently with my partner. Absolutely lovely. Such a pleasant stay, from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. Tea/coffee offered immediately on arrival, that is after having my bag carried to my room! The room was very clean and quiet. The B&B is 10 minutes walk from town but this is an excellent opportunity for a bit of exercise to walk off the enermous breakfast you will get! I recommend this to solo travellers, families and couples. The welcome is so friendly and I will be mentioning the name Westwood to anybody who tell me they are going to Westport.
