What a find!!! really enjoyed visiting the museum - its facitilies are excellent and the displays are just brilliant - my 11yr old daughter enjoyed reading all the articles - the layout was easy to get around - every family should visit this museum and see what life was like in the "olden days"!!!

Well laid out museum on four floors in a modern building beside a historical house. Museum exhibits some special artefacts from time to time as well as the usual country life items. House and grounds are well laid out and maintained in a very nice and caring way with walks well signposted.

My family and I visited here not long ago. I was overwhelmed at the wealth of history here! The stories, the artifacts, the details of country life, not to mention the crafts and exhibits portraying everyday life in not-so-long-ago Ireland—Brilliant! Even my 10-year-old son had a good time, and he's not a big fan of museums. We look forward to visiting again!

Amazing to realise that Irish country life remained fairly unchanged up to the 1940s. The museum has an interesting collection of artefacts demonstrating country life through the ages.
