“Excellent walk”

Lake Lannagh Hiking Trails
Reviewed June 9, 2012

This is one of the best short walks in mayo. The path is wide has a great surface and great views of croagh partrick and over the lake. Great for kids learning to ride bikes etc. A must see if in castlebar, takes 30-40 minutes to complete the circuit. The bridge is fantastic, really well designed and user friendly. I hope the dog warden makes regular patrols to keep this place clean.

Lake Lannagh or also known as Lough Lannagh is a small lake near the town of Castlebar. Recently the local town council put in walks around the lake and in the vicinity of the lake. They also erected six workout stations. It is a beautiful area where wild birds are plentyful and children can feed them. This is a great amienty so close to the town centre, well done to the town council.
