“very good”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

Having stayed in the hotel and used the restaurant a number of times I can recommend it for food quality, service and value.

Perhaps a slighlty enlarged menu would take it to a higher level.

“Not 4 star”
Reviewed October 22, 2012

Was really looking forward to eating here as they are surposed to be a 4 star hotel but was left feeling let down. We were seated but the waiting staff didnt seem to know who was to serve us so we waited over the average for someone to take our order. The lunch menu was very disapointing. Nothing spectacular, the usual roasts, pasta bla bla bla. My turkey said bacon stuffing and I got stuffing wrapped up in a thin sliced of ham that you would use for sandwiches. There was no garnish on the plate, not even a sprinkle of parsley! As we waited for the mains a waiter gave us some bread which was definatley mcCambridge bread you can buy in the shop. Although the veg side dish was cooked well it was plain and the carrots the same factory cut battons you find in carverys. There was nothing terribley bad about this restaurant but it is a real let down for a place to claim it is four star when its really 2 star stuff to say the least. Real deflation
