This park was very peaceful but only a short visit required. There was a beautiful view of the bay also.

“A tribute to the Irish who served in the WW1 & 2.”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

Several thousand local men lost their lives serving in the World Wars of the 20th century, serving in the armies of Britain, Canada, USA and other nations. They have not been recognized by Ireland, but a few local citizens have persevered and built a fitting place of memory for these servicemen. Well done.

Reviewed July 29, 2013

Very simple and because of this very moving. The memorial honors people from all nations from Mayo who haved died in wars or conflicts over the years. Out in the open so access isn't a problem.

““Worth a visit””

“Worth a visit”

It's worth a visit, especially that we now and at last acknowledge the fact that so many Irishmen died in the two World Wars.
This was a lovely park and very well kept.
