My husband and I booked into Scholars for a few days and we had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The hotel is stunning, the staff are efficient and friendly and the food is second to none. it was so wonderful that we headed back to stay again on the last day of our trip before heading back to the ferry for Scotland.

We shared a lovely time staying at this refined and, restored Hotel. Parking is ample and secure; rooms airy, super-clean, and quaintly elegant; the staff very friendly and helpful; the site is close to the downtown for walking and shopping; the bar is a bit pricey but, well stocked and, the very best to consider that the house is quiet and, easy to find!!! We gave the accommodations 5 circles!!!

Room Tip: I would suggest that you book ahead...., perhaps if you stay a little longer you will be able to hag...

This is a really beautiful well cared for small hotel in the heart of Drogheda.Lovely floral displays up the steps to the hotel & really nice large patio area at the front which was ideal for sitting out on an unusually warm August evening. There is beautiful wood panelling, ornate ceilings & unusual paintings everywhere you look. Our room was to the front of the hotel, lovely furnishings & good size, very comfortable bed, lovely linen.
All the staff we met went out of their way to be friendly and helpful, they seemed to genuinely want our stay to be as pleasant as possible, special mention to David in the bar. Great food, Great surroundings, Great staff - pity we could only stay one night but we will be back. Also got a great last minute rate of 89€ Bed & Breakfast for two people - amazing value.

We have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions as we often travel over to see family with my elderly mother.this hotel never fails to please -Staff are all just brilliant nothing is to much trouble they all just want to please you-rooms are spacious - we normally have the family room which is 2 adjoining rooms one with a massive queen bed and the other has 2 singles--food is delicious and breakfast is cooked to order ---would definitely recommend this hotel

This hotel is an absolute gem. It is an old building, bursting with colour from flowers, beautiful fountains with fish and lots of free car parking space. It has only 16 bedrooms, one of which can be used as a family room (massive queen bed in one room & 3 singles in adjoining room). The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The food - well, all I can say it is exquisite. We waited over half an hour as they prepare everything fresh - worth it? Most definitely! The desserts are to die for also. We will most definitely return here to stay with the kids again as Funtasia Waterpark and Bettystown beach are a short drive away. We loved it! The kids loved it. Thank you Scholars Townhouse Hotel!

Room Tip: Only one family room - Presidential Suite no less! No fitness centre/swimming pool

My wife and I stayed in this small boutique hotel 7 yrs ago and stayed here with family two weeks ago. They haven't skipped a beat. Then and now one of the best places to stay in Ireland. Fantastic ambiance, staff, food, bar, amenities.

This hotel was an oasis of comfort on a hot day. The decor is unique; our spacious room even had stained glass windows. There is a cracking bar. Our dinner was excellent, both for the standard of food and the setting - a garden with fountains and flowers. The staff were attentive and friendly.
