I stayed at The D Hotel for two nights, and received wonderful service from all staff. The rooms were spotless and the beds so comfortable. I had a view of the port which was nice as I like to have something to look at other than the back entrance of a hotel where they keep their bins etc. I had breakfast, lunch and dinner between the two days and all food was lovely and very nicely presented. Hotel in general was very clean and in a super location.

We came to this hotel quite by chance when fleeing bad weather further north. (as if one can in Ireland). We spotted the hotel by the river as we looked for a place to stay. we were greeted by friendly and efficient staff. our room was large modern with excellent facilities. the overall hotel was clean modern and contemporary. The location is excellent for access to shops and parking. Over all a great find. The cost for this 4 star hotel was LESS than a Bed and Breakfast in Northen Ireland. Definitely recommended.

Stayed at the D on a Saturday night. The restaurant was really busy but we managed to get a table. The food was pretty good and staff were excellent. The reception staff were also friendly and very accommodating. The bedrooms are finished to a really high standard with subdued lighting and nice big comfy armchairs. The view of the river is really nice although the area right in front of the hotel is not the best., but I guess that's not the hotel's fault. The location is also very good if you want to walk into town for a drink after dinner.

Room Tip: Request one overlooking the river.

We stayed in the D hotel on Friday for one night. From the moment we arrived the staff were extremely friendly and polite. The room was very spacious and clean. The food was to die for. There was great music in the bar. Breakfast is great value with plenty of choice and hot. The Hotel is in a great location was shopping. We will be returning to the hotel in the near future.

first time visiting Drogheda so had a slight problem finding the hotel and the satnav refused to assist. The lost feeling continued when we arrived at the door of the hotel as a sign said use other door and when we did it was locked but we figured it out in the end. The hotel itself was nice and staff were friendly and helpful, we stayed in the penthouse suite known as the light room and it was nice and spacious with a lovely verandah which gave a beautiful view of the town and viaduct. Food in the restaurant was nice but nothing special and the service was good. To sum up the D is a nice hotel but lacks the finesse and elegance of its sister hotel the G in Galway but i would still recommend it.

Room Tip: try a suite, good deals to be got at this time of year

This hotel is perfectly situated for everybody, with a shopping centre beside it and town centre a few mins walk, loads of free parking and easy access. We stayed midweek so things were quiet, exactly what we wanted maybe because the hotel was not so busy we got extra attention : excellent food and service but whatever the reason, we really enjoyed our stay. rooms were perfect and very clean. Reception very friendly and helpful. Returning soon again.

Room Tip: Overlooking river is nice.

we spent saturday night last in the d hotel.this was the third time we have stayed there and we have never been disappointed with the food, service and the comfortable rooms.the staff from reception through to the bar and restaurant are friendly and professional.they also have a new gastropub attached to the hotel.we had lunch there which was excellent and they have live music at the weekend.we dropped in on sat night but it was packed so we went back to the hotel bar which had a duo playing soft rock music who were called double entendre.they were really good.
the d do really great special offers and i would recommend it especially for couples
