Dined with 2 young children, excellent food for both adults and children, well presented, tasty, good value and in pleasant surroundings. Highly recommended.

Ate here on a Sunday afternoon, had no reservation but was accommodated quickly and efficiently.Had the roast beef, which was plentiful but lacked flavour as did the accompanying potatoes, frozen potato croquettes and vegetables. Children's menu poor. Wouldn't rush back.

The good: full glasses of wine, steamed broccoli, great garlic bread and a very nice young woman who served us. The bad: she was the only server handling five tables with a total of 19 customers, the chicken Kiev appeared to have been frozen, and the mashed potatoes had no flavor. For all the accolades, it just did not seem to measure up to us. My sense is that the kitchen is not trying hard enough.

This is a little gem about 10 minutes walk from Drogheda town.

I had eaten here before a few years ago but now they have new owners and a new chef. What a transformation.

The food is delicious and not too pricey.
Staff were very friendly and explained everything on the menu with great detail.
We had steak and chips and the chicken sizzler which were both amazing.

The chef, Michael, is so friendly and has worked some of the best restaurants in ireland. He sat down with us to have a drink after our meal. They had finished serving. Such a friendly touch and a great way to show hospitality and gratitude.

We will certainly be back.

We visited the fishermans late tues afternoon 16 April. The menu on the board wasnt suitable for our dietary requirements . The waiter asked chef to speak to us . We were very impressed with how accommodating the chef was. Nothing was too much trouble for him and we had a lovely meal. Thank you chef(Sorry i didnt get your name) Restaurants like this deserve to do well . Keep up the great service . Looking forward to our next visit and we will spread the word.
