Myself and partner arrived early one saturday evening, the place was fairly packed with a mixture of couples and young families. We found the food lovely, fish and chips and bangers and mash. The service was slow even though there seemed to be plenty of staff around. We would come back again as the food was nice

havent been here in a while cos thought the menu was rather limited and pretty expensive it is often packed esp at weekends so maybe its just down to a matter of taste and money but for me there is much nicer in the area for a fraction of the price

Famous, long standing pillar of how to just get it right ! This is a brilliant restraunt pub right on the main Dublin rd south if Drogheda. Great food lots of specals on .Rugby mad especially Heiniken match time. Often have jazz and traditional nights on . Beautifully well laid out my favourite place to eat is in the conservatory area near the fire. Drinks afterwards in the garden bar. You ll love the atmosphere its buzzy and cosy at the same time . Do book as this place is crammed full of locals who just have to keep coming back xxx Enjoy.

We had lunch in the Black Bull in March in the conservatory area. There was a large open fire and the place was packed. The food ranged from sandwiches to roast dinners and we had roast port and scampi. The pork came with potatoes & vegetables and the scampi with a salad and chips. Neither meal could have been faulted and the portions were on the large side - to say the least! We had two desserts and two coffees and the bill was extremely reasonable given the quality, quantity and choice of options. It is a very friendly and although very large pub - very cosy - with terrific staff. Would definitely recommend the Black Bull.
