“Terrific Hotel”
Reviewed March 12, 2014

Spent a week-end here with friends. Lovely hotel, friendly, unobtrusive staff, breakfast one of the highlights, room accommodation comfortable and well appointed. Wonderful choices for breakfast, a cornucopia of quality food. Don't tell the manager, but it would set you up for the day. Perfect location in the city centre, a few yards from O'Connell St. (main Street). Dining in the Hamptons also very good, comprehensive menu, good portions, pleasant attentive service. Definitely return.
Niggles: Restaurant had vegetables seasoned in garlic, and would only serve them so seasoned. (Most people like garlic I suppose). First floor waiter, who, in contrast to the staff generally, was rather inept, charged a second time for a small round of drinks that a companion had purchased before retiring - he presented the remaining company with the invoice, one of whom paid (again). We were certain he was mistaken rather than devious.

Stayed because I got a good deal online. Didnt know anything about hotel and hadnt heard of it before.
Excellent hotel. Very high end. rooms were very well maintained if small but the hotel site is quite small so understandable.
Very nice bar at lobby with good atmosphere.
Spa in basement was very nice and not overpriced considering the rating of the hotel. Pool was only 6m long but was lovely. Nice and warm and away from others. Felt like having a bath. definitely a highlight.
Overall a very nice hotel which I would recommend highly.

Just spent a weekend in The Savoy Hotel in Limerick and I have to say it was absolutely fantastic!! Very central location and a group of us (7 girls) stayed on a two night package which included breakfast (until 12!), 3 course meal per person and a bottle of champagne per room for a minimal price - really good value for a luxury hotel.
The breakfast was fantastic - huge variety of food from croissants, muffins, lots of homemade breads to individual pots of yogurt and fresh salmon. Huge choice of nuts and fresh cheese too! Excellent range of hot breakfast choices to choose from - catering for all diets!
Dinner in the Hamptons was lovely - really good vibe and very busy. The staff were very attentive and as 2 in our party were celebrating a birthday, they received a photo memento which I thought was a special touch!
Didn't have time to visit the Spa, but I heard good reports.
The Savoy Bar is small, friendly and again has a lovely, welcoming feel to it . . . and the cocktails are gorgeous! A special mention has to go to Eoin & Mario!! Great, fun barmen and very, very patient at 3 or 4 in the morning when one drink turns to many! Thanks guys :o)
In fact, all the staff in the hotel were so pleasant - check in at reception was efficient and the team were friendly and happy. You instantly felt welcome.
The room itself was spotlessly clean and in the bathroom there was Molten Brown products - always a treat. A turndown service is provided with little chocolates left on the bed.
I really can't say enough about the hotel - go and enjoy it! - and hopefully I will be back some time soon!

Stayed here for our Anniversary. A fantastic experience from checking in to dinner in the Hamptons , Drinks in the Savoy bar till late ( Very Late LOL) , staying in a stunning room & checking out in the morning. We arrived in Limerick around 1pm - check in is not till 3pm but we just asked as we wanted to go somewhere to watch Rugby. Not only were they happy to check us in they upgraded our room to executive rooms ! The room was fab on 7th floor with a balcony & views out over lovely Limerick city. We also got access to executive lounge - such a lovely treat. This would be perfect for a girls night away as well - the lounge had free tea , coffee & treats & another fab balcony overlooking the city. We had dinner in the Hamptons a lovely restaurant with great value menu - worth a visit even if you not staying in the hotel. The Staff throughout the hotel were friendly & efficient. A special mention has to go to Mattew, Eoin & Mario in the bar - we went in for a quiet drink after dinner. There was a girl DJ (sorry didnt get her name ) she played a great mix and had the crowd buzzing. The Barmen were great entertainment also - they were making cocktails to beat the band while all the time remaining friendly & interacting with a full bar of happy customers. Our "quiet" drink lasted till at least 3 am . We then had coffees in exec lounge before falling into a super comfy HUGE bed. A great night's sleep also. We were on room only as I not a huge breakfast eater - but had tea/ coffee in lounge where there was also lovely fresh apples- Fruit is my fav breakfast:) . Checkout was easy & efficient - again staff were chatty & friendly. This is one of the nicest hotels I have had the pleasure of staying in - can't wait to go back !!

Room Tip: The executive rooms are worth the extra - super city views.

Excellent hotel in city center. Molton Brown toiletries, robe in the closet and mints on the pillow, need I say more? Our room had both an enclosed shower and a separate bath. Only item not as expected was the towels were thin and scratchy. Definitely a great hotel.

I stayed in this hotel the 28th Feb and 1st March with my boyfriend on the two night package which included two breakfasts, a dinner and a bottle of champagne. This hotel was absolutely fabulous. Everything about this hotel was perfect, it had a real touch of class about it. The room we stayed in was over looking Henry Street, it was great to get a hotel so central. The champagne was beautifully presented. The breakfast was fantastic too, the continental had a huge variety of food from hot croissants and pastries to individual pots of yogurt. There was also freshly squeezed juices and fresh fruit and muffins! The hot breakfast both days was lovely too with a great range to choose from. The staff in the hotel were so pleasant and friendly which really made the hotel special. Even though we had to wait a few mins for a table at breakfast (which is understandable as everybody arrives at the same time!) we were apologized to on numerous occasions and assured we would be seated as soon as possible. Breakfast is served until 12 which is a real bonus! The receptionists were very helpful, welcoming and funny too! The room itself was spotlessly clean and in the bathroom there was molten brown toiletries which was lovely. The accommodation staff were also very smiley and polite when they called to the room with ice and little chocolates.
I cannot rate this hotel highly enough and will hopefully be back some time soon :)
