“Absolutely Great”
Reviewed March 21, 2012

We stayed at the Absolute Hotel for two nights over the St. Patrick's weekend and got a really good deal. Our room was up on the fifth floor facing away from the river and it was lovely and quiet. The hotel is in a great location right on the river but only 5 minutes walk to the town centre. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean and the bathroom was very modern. The bed was extremely comfortable and I was delighted to find a decent hairdryer (I'm fed up of hotels supplying useless ones!). Our rate was for room only so we didn't try the breakfast. The bar was nice for a quick drink before heading out and has a lovely terrace looking out over the river. I also liked the ice machine and vending machine on each floor and it was a great idea to have things like toothbrushes and razors for sale alongside snacks and drinks. The staff were excellent and I would have no hesitation returning to and recommending this hotel.

Room Tip: The rooms higher up would probably be quieter

A beautiful hotel, everything was great. The superior room was really nice and the service in the hotel was excellent, staff so friendly and helpful. Really happy with our stay here and is very nice for young couples. Will be back to stay again in the future. Only a five minute walk from the town centre.

Stayed here earlier this month for a family occasion. I cannot praise the staff in this hotel enough for how well we were all treated, how flexible they were in changing rooms and how nice they all were. The rooms are gorgeous, really spacious and with individual heating controls which were great. The beds are really comfy. The restaurant is fantastic, with 20 people for dinner not one person had anything but compliments. The food is displayed very well, for instance the fish and chips is on a wooden platter with newspaper in the chips and the apple crumble was in an iron skillet. The down side and it is nothing really is that there is no real residents bar, just part of the lobby. The deal we got was fantastic and I would go back to this hotel in an instant.

Where do I start, arrived at hotel on a Sunday at lunchtime so we decided to have lunch at the hotel, the food and presentation was wonderful, if you do stay here definitely go into restaurant.
It's a real chic hotel, lovely airy spacious rooms with all the mod cons. Breakfast next morning was spot on great choice buffet fully stocked , it was really nice. Staff are great,
Can't wait to go back

Really nice clean hotel. The room was very comfortable and well laid out. The only complaint I would have is that my ensuite didn't have a bath and the website didn't make this obvious when I booked - it described the room as having "an ensuite bathroom". I had travelled 5 hours by car to get to the hotel and arrived at 9pm looking forward to soaking in a nice hot bath. I contacted reception to see if they could swap me to a room with a bath but was told they only had baths in the suites and that for €50 I could be upgraged-kinda expensive bath!!
