The staff were very friendly and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Just a short stroll across the bridge to Limerick's downtown area. My only complaint is that the elevators were a real hassle. One could tour every floor of the hotel twice before arriving at the correct destination.

I have stayed at this hotel many times for work. It is a lovely hotel and perfect if driving to Shannon.

The rooms are beautiful but I find they can be quite stuffy. The window can only open a fraction. This is only a tiny thing but when staying there for two weeks at a time it can be frustrating.

The room service is very quick and the lady who served me was always very friendly. However, the service in the restaurant itself can be quite slow.

We booked two riverview rooms for one night and upon checking in we were upgraded to two riverview suites. They were fantastic and had amazing views of the city and river. Would definitely stay again. Excellent location and breakfast also.

Room Tip: River view is a must

We stayed in the strand hotel for the June bank holiday weekend . The rooms are lovely with spacious and luxurious bathrooms, with both bath and shower. The breakfast was nice with a chef to cook your omelettes or poach your eggs to your liking . There was a large selection of fruit cereals and hot food for breakfast . The weather was lovely and there are a few areas where you can sit out. The staff on reception are sometimes a little off putting . There is an underground car park with a charge of 6e per night .

My Family and I stayed here at the beginning of June. The family room was really spacious and bed was sooo comfortable. We ate in the bar when we arrived and it was ok nothing to be impressed with, Considering they have an award winning Chef and have it everywhere we were expecting so much more. If you advertise something so much you imagine the food would be divine but sadly very disappointing. We ate in the restaurant that night as it was part of our deal the staff were very impressive and we had 2 lovely ladies serve us and were very polite. The food was much better in the evening time. Had a really nice meal. Breakfast was slightly disappointing for the adults don't order an omelette as fillings will be stone cold, but kids loved the fresh pancakes. The hotel is very central and within walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants. The Leisure centre was great didn't find any problems with it. changing rooms very spacious. The Staff at the Strand are Lovely no matter what area of hotel you go to.
