Stayed here for 2 nights. The rooms are clean and tidy, as are the bathrooms with separate shower.Staff are friendly & very helpfull.Breakfast buffet is excellant, with everything you could want. The only negative I found was the prices of drinks in the bar.5.10 for a pint of heineken,3.45 for a coffee, very expensive. But overall a great place to stay, and I will be back.

This is the hotel to stay in Limerick. The front desk staff are nice and very helpful! The location is great, right on the River Shannon, immediately across the city. Within walking distance to all the sights. One of the best fitness club, swimming pool, jacuzzi and steam/sauna facilities whch are in the building, so take advantage of it. Rooms are immaculate, modern and large. Bathrooms are beautiful, shining with separate shower and tub. Floor to ceiling windows. Nice bar and restaurant with tasty Irish breakfasts.

I took my Mother for a combined Easter and birthday getaway and so pleased that I chose the Strand. Very roomy hotel, great staff in all areas and super food - afternoon tea is highly recommended. It was a very busy weekend with private functions too but the staff were always very cheerful and responsive. Great location too and straight down the Ennis Road to Bunratty - well worth a visit or over the bridge into town.

Room Tip: Avoid a room over the bar area if you're not partial to listening to the music but mention your...

Stayed here over the Easter bank holiday weekend for 2 nights. Arrived late on Friday night and was greeted by incredibly efficient staff on reception who had us checked in, in no time. Room was lovely, spotless and really really clean. We were on the first floor and the common areas were also really clean and pleasant. We ate in the bar on the first night and we were really pleasantly attended to. I had a starter with chips and my husband has the lasagne we were both STUFFED!!! :) good value too.

we went to the pool as well and this was lovely, clean and warm too!!! :) a novel swimwear dryer too!!! :)

At all times during our stay we were assisted when we needed to be with directions etc. The building location is great for city exploring but for me the best feature of the hotel is the staff who were really helpful, attentive but down to earth and not aloof, they would engage you in conversation and are genuine. I will definitely be back and will be recommending this hotel as a great base for limerick and I am not an easy person to impress when it comes to handing over my hard earned money for accommodation!

Room Tip: we were on first floor with no complaints. there are a range of room types available though.

I stayed here for a business trip. The conference itself was in the hotel and the facilities and refreshments were both top notch. The whole reception and conference room area was plush and impressive.
My room was spacious, quiet, clean, cozy and well equiped. The bed was very comfortable and I slept soundly. The bathroom had a separate bath and shower and was a good size.
I ate in the restaurant in the evening and was very impressed with the standard of the food. The breakfast was also of a good standard though it was a buffet rather than menu based (suited me on this occasion as i was rushing!).
The only negative point was that on the night I stayed the spa & leisure centre closed early and I was unable to avail of the services. This was not advised in advance or even upon arrival at reception. A bit disappointing.

Stayed for just one night however I found it a fantastic hotel. The views from the restaurant over the river are exceptional. Make sure you have your camera. Breakfast is a buffett and its really good. Although they advertise 100mb broadband I could only get 4.7mb max. The lifts (elevators) can be confusing as it is necessary to use your room card however the slot for the card is confusingly on the opposite side of the lift to the buttons to select the floor. Overall a great location as its possible to walk to the city centre in two minutes.

Room Tip: Ask for river view

The reception after the church was good, hot port or wine and nibbles. The meal was superb and the dining room was beautifully appointed. The only gripe I had was during the night the heat was too much. I was sharing the room with two other people and it turned out they were woken when the heat was beyond the comfort zone.
