Great location- very central. Room faced over the river which made good use of the floor-ceiling windows. Separate bath and shower which was nice in a modern bathroom. King size bed seemed to come as standard. The gym felt a little on the small side as it was quite busy when I was there

I've stayed at the Strand Hotel a few times now, the rooms are modern, very clean and very comfortable. The executive rooms are great for business travellers as they're on a dedicated floor that tends to be quieter than the other floors, though the other floors are far from noisy. I'll definitely stay here again if in Limerick.

The only negative thing I'd say about the hotel is that the lounge area of the bar is full of TVs that seem to have football on them quite loud every time I'm there, it's not possible to get away from the drone of football cheers which is a shame as oterhwise it would be a nice place to eat!

Room Tip: Get an executive room if available and you're travelling on business.

I stayed in the hotel for a long weekend for a friends birthday and it was brilliant. I booked through a very nice lady called Amy In reservations and she made our stay excellent. The hotel was clean central food was perfect and the service was superb! I'd definitely stay again every time I come to limerick and I will be recommending to all friends.

I attended this event at the Strand Hotel on Wednesday.
The hotel is right in the center of Limerick, easy to get to, with good parking facilities and check-in was fast and efficient.
The event was very well organised and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful when I needed to move equipment.
I was lucky enough to be invited to the Expo dinner that evening; a special tasting menu organised by Head Chef, Tom Flavin. The quality and flavour of the food was spectacular, the service was excellent - it was an example of quality in action.
These guys are playing at the top of the game - go and experience it for yourself.

Limerick Strand hosted FoodIEs Expo 2013. The hotel provided all the facilities required for a conference or an event managed by excellent staff. The team in particular John the most obliging porter, Tom the talented Executive Chef and the General Manager Sean Lally, were most welcoming, innovative and obliging.
Dinner, 5 course tasting menu, was an exceptional event and accommodation was excellent.

We look forward to being back next year. Bríd Fox

I loved my room. The bathroom was huge; the bed was comfy. Only complaint was bad coffee creamer. Not enough and what there was, was expired and green. Restaurant was nice, but pricey. Bar was nice for watching football. Given the expense of the restaurant we had breakfast away from the hotel. Self parking was convenient.

The Strand is a great hotel but the executive suite option was a let down. The room was the same as a standard and the 'executive' feature which gives access to the executive lounge was a room with small low tables and couches with complimentary biscuits, fruit, brownies, soft drinks, water and sweets. If I was to stay again I'd skip the executive suite and save 60 euro. Even if I had been travelling for business I wouldn't take this option.
