The University has everything you need to holiday in Limerick, bus service to the city and SO much to do on campus. The Arena sports facility is perfect on a rainy day and the grounds are great on a dry day. The student accommodation is available to rent outside term time and is very good value for families as they can take a whole apartment to themselves. The Concert Hall attracts big name acts so be sure to check out their programme before you arrive.

I have seen a lot of University Grounds around Europe but for me University of Limerick has it all. Set on the banks of the Shannon where you have plassey falls, the Living Bridge connecting one campus to the other.
If you enjoy a walk, run or cycle then the area around the campus is for you. Take one of the many paths around the campus and river to view the beautiful buildings including the UL sports arena, UL Concert Hall,
UL Irish World Music Academy, UL white house the list is endless.
Check out the old fisherman's cottages on the river bank and see people fly fishing
Call in for coffee to one of the many coffee venues on campus see the original stables courtyard and the new Presidents House.
50m pool open to the public as is the running track and on the North Campus of the University of Limerick is the Pavilion playing pitches and bar.
Visit UL campus and you wiil believe the title of this review.

Here in Ireland most everyone will tell you that the hallowed grounds of Trinity College, Dublin would be the best place to visit to get a sense of the revered Irish 3rd level learning environment. But hold on! Have you checked out Limerick University? It was the first higher education institute to become a university since the founding of the State in 1922, and so can be considered the 1st All Irish University! TaDah!! You won't find any stuffiness on this campus, even the buildings and bridge spanning the Shannon that runs through the campus are state of the art. Okay, I'm biased, it's my Alma Mater. The library here is second to none, not just for the facilities and staff but for views; to look up from your study material and gaze into the green distance is part of what makes it an unsurpassed study centre. If you're thinking of studying here check out the UL website. If you're just visiting amble along the pathways by the river and you will spot fauna and flora in beautiful settings; stroll over the living bridge and if you've brought a brown-bag lunch this is the place to stop and enjoy. If you are lucky enough to be going to a concert at the University Concert Hall go early and breathe in the beauty of some 200 acres of learning and growing. Remember, term time (September onwards) there will be more facilities, restaurants, etc. open for business. If you enjoy the quiet, go in the summer.
