“Great service at the Greenhills”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

Just returned from an overnight stay at the Greenhills where we were attending a family party. Service was excellent, every member of staff we met was helpful, friendly and approachable. Great food, both for the party meal and the breakfast. Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom a bit on the small side, but lots of hot water, good power in the shower and clean, soft towels. There is great sense of purpose around the staff, who seem to want to go the extra mile to serve customers, whether on reception, in the bar or in the restaurant. Good value for money. overall left with a very good impression of this hotel and its management.

Decided to treat ourselves for a night - so glad we did. Very friendly, helpful staff. Room very comfortable. Went swimming twice in the leisure complex - great. Jacuzzi - didn't want to get out. Separate towels provided - nice touch. (Evening meal in bar - good value, tasty food.)
Breakfast - wow... .Huge choice, hot food cooked to order. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Now all I need is another reason to go back to Ireland!

Extremely friendly and helpful staff, good location outside the city centre, great food. We went as a couple and could not fault it, bar was mixture of locals and residents, could have done with a band or music but in this climate it was understandable that there was none

My sister and I stayed for one night in the Greenhills. We had been invited to a Birthday Party which was being held there, so it was convenient to book in there also. I don't believe that we could have done better. From start to finish everything was first rate. The Reception staff were friendly, efficient and welcoming and Daphne saw to it that we could effortlessly locate our room, which was furnished to the usual hotel standard, was comfortable and warm. We had a good lunch then, as the Party was not due to commence until 8-8.30. Lunch cost Euro 21 for the two of us and my sister first produced a 20E. note and joked while getting the single Euro.."What'll happen if I haven't got it?" and, quick as a flash, the cashier joked back "You'll have to wash dishes!"

Now for the Party: This was a large undertaking - circa 300 guests of all ages - and I must say that everything was beautifully done - from the candlelit tables to the delicious hot food served with no fuss - full plates, or as required, and many invitations for "2nd Helpings". They are obviously used to dealing with large numbers and, I guess, repeat bookings. Full marks Greenhills!

Breakfast was also superb. There was a good selection of cereals, juices, fruit, scones etc. and hot porridge, and of course tea/coffee. The cooked breakfast was to order - almost anything you wanted - and was prepared in double-quick time. I didn't care for my coffee, so the waitress (an absolute gem) produced tea immediately, and made nothing of the inconvenience.

Many of the Party people also stayed in the hotel that night, and I saw big number of young men in sports gear, carrying their gearbags out to waiting buses in the morning. In spite of the numbers being accommodated, there was no noise or bustle and I would have no hesitation in booking the Greenhills again if visiting Limerick. Many thanks to all for a wonderful sojourn .

Room Tip: We were front of house and no noise, so probably all quiet.

We stayed for two nights in a double room. We got a deal including bed and breakfast and one dinner which was great value. The room was good, good size and clean. The swimming pool was nice and was clean. The hotel's located about a 5 minute drive from the city centre. There's a good amount of parking available. Breakfast and dinner were both very nice. The staff were very nice but in need of training. It was a bit like Faulty Towers at times, bringing out main courses before starters had been cleared away, dropping plates and spilling things, etc..

We would stay again.

Four of us went to the Black Tie Gala Ball on New Year's Eve.
It was a fabulous night. The meal was great, the music was lovely and the dance afterwards was extremely enjoyable.
Top Marks to the Greenhills to organise this Black Tie evening!!
Nothing compares to suiting up with dickey-bow (or long dress and stole for ladies) and acting like the folk of High Society!!!

Lovely hotel with clean rooms, friendly staff and great breakfast! We spent one night here to attend a rugby match and the location was excellent. A taxi ride from Limerick city center was 11.00 euro so not city center located but all the better for it! Would definately stay here again. Thank you Greenhills.

Room Tip: We asked for 'non smoking' room in the new part and were delighted with the room. The Ennis...
