“All that is Holy!”
Reviewed May 20, 2013

Saint Joseph's has many special memories for many Limerick people as we were christened there; we received Holy Communion and Confirmation there. Iit is specially known for the many weddings that have been celebrated there since 1904. As you enter you are welcomed into great beauty tastefully done; you are in the presence of the Sacred. Both the Lady Chapel and Saint Joseph's Chapel are at their finest in the best of marble and best of surrounding colour. The floral arrangements are unique and done with great sensitivity and taste dependint on the Liturgical Season. The Sanctuary is rich in biblical symbolism. The lighting is sensitively done bringing out the best on all the architectural features. On your left near the Lady Chapel as you look towards the altar there is a most beautiful stain glass window of Our Lady of Lourdes and Saint Bernadette! This will refresh you spiritually; you will leave grateful for having made the visit. Thanks be to God, Frank.

“Fabulous Church”
Reviewed May 9, 2013

We were staying in Jury's Inn which was only about a 5 - 10 minute walk away from the church on O'Connell Avenue. As it was Saturday evening, we decided that we would go to mass. We had the church to ourselves for about 30 minutes and then the sacristan came in.

The church is lovely decorated and a warm priest welcoming us to Limerick.

Well worth a visit!
