We had a tour today with Frank to the Cliffs of Moher. I pre-booked this tour online for 27 euros per person and pre paid. It was pretty easy to do on their website. Frank picked us up at our hotel (The George) on time and we had a few pick ups before departing Limerick on this tour.

During the day, we had a brief photo stop at Leamenagh Castle, had a short 45 min stop for a snack, 15 min stop at Poulnabrone Tomb, lunch at a place called Monks Pub along Galway Bay. The food here was pretty good and the price was not too steep. Had the fish and chips (14 euros) and seafood chowder (8 euros). Then, the last stop was Cliffs of Moher. We were allowed an hour and a half here which was plenty of time and did not leave us feeling rushed. Fortunately for us, it was a bright sunny day which we were told was very unusual. Frank even said it was the nicest day of the year!

We chose this tour due to the excellent reviews on Trip Advisor and this tour was longer than the other tours. I am pretty sure we were allowed more time at Cliffs of Moher, which if the weather is good, is an excellent place to visit. Frank made a lot of funny jokes during the day and was an excellent driver and guide. If you are in Limerick, you should definitely visit the Cliffs of Moher. We had a great day!

We booked this the day of and had no idea what to expect but it was great! The tour was small only 6 people which was nice and the tour guide Frank was great! He knew so much about the places we drove passed and made jokes along the way :) We stopped at a great place for lunch the best seafood and great views. Brilliant service that picked us up from our hostel.

We were picked up in Ennis at our hotel by the tour van/bus. That was very convenient. Frank was our driver, and was so charming. His knowledge of the countryside was fantastic. This tour is a great value! We payed 27 euro for it, and lasted the whole day. I loved stopping at Monk's on Galway Bay. The seafood chowder was delightful! The Cliffs are the grand finale of the tour, and what a finale they are. I recommend this tour to anyone who wants to go see the Cliffs but doesn't want to do a big bus tour.

Barratt tours is a great option if you are looking for something a little less touristy than the Paddy Wagon and still want an excellent tour. It was smaller and more personal than some of the big tour companies, and Frank was a friendly and wise-cracking tour guide. They also offer an option to take the train from Dublin and meet up with the shuttle in Limerick, which is a great deal at 55 Euro. I took the train and it was great, I was really happy not to be taking a 400 km bus ride, and you get to see a lot of nice countryside on the way there and back. The only other company with the rail tour connection is Railtours Ireland, which offers a similar tour that is more "First Class" for about twice the price. If you want something that is all-inclusive where they babysit you the whole way, go with Railtours, but for me Barratt tours was perfect!
