Lovely Indian Restaurant in the middle of Limerick City. Very extensive menu and friendly, efficient staff. I noticed the Trip Advisor sticker on the door so guessed I was on to a good thing and wasn't disappointed.

If you are influenced by first impressions don't be. The grotty entrance and staircase bear no resemblance to the restaurant and quality of food. Superb food and I agree with others that this is one of the best Indian restaurants in limerick. Fresh flavours, top quality tender meat and good service. Not to be missed.
If they pulled up the grotty carpet in the staircase and gave it a fresh modern look they would entice a lot more people in.

We went for a two course meal which was excellent. This is an authentic Indian restaurant with a wide range of dishes cooked to perfection. The new seating and the new crockery make Spice of India a great restaurant to visit.

This is the finest indian in limerick not only that i feel its the friendliest by miles the happy hour 3 course meal anything on the menu is outstanding value at 19 euros inc a glass of wine its a no brainer , and for 45 euros you get a 4 course meal for 2 inc a bt wine woweee , never had a take away but have been for a sit down meal 10 times , i do go to fine meals in london miami edinburgh mamchester and catalunya and for value for money this is THE BEST esp the happy hour deal , you pay 2 euros extra for king prawn main course but who cares at under 50 euros for 2 inc a bt wine you must try ! we look forward to our next visit , the mixed grill is fabby

I have eaten at/from Spice of India a few times since it opened and with the exception of an issue with the labeling of one delivery order, I have had very positive experiences. The menu is extensive, with all the standard options plus a few more unusual choices, the service is good whether eating in out getting a take-away, the prices are reasonable, and the food is always of a good standard. I ordered the Lamb Bhuna during my most recent visit and it was lovely, my parents also enjoyed their meals thoroughly (Chicken Korma and Chicken Jalfrezi). There are currently a lot of decent Indian restaurants in Limerick to choose from, but you could do a lot worse than popping into Spice of India for dinner (don't let the uninviting exterior put you off!).
