I have been to the French Table a couple of times, once for dinner with friends, another time for a business lunch. On both occasions I enjoyed a wonderful meal. The menu is packed with delicious dishes -- everyone has been been happy with their choice both times, regardless of what they ordered. The wine complimented it nicely -- I had a a glass of each of their three reds-by-the-glass, and every one was top-drawer. The staff are very friendly and professional. They can't do enough to help. This is a real gem of a restaurant, and very good value too for the quality of the food. Don't miss it if you're visiting Limerick -- or, indeed, if you live there!

Best meal I have had in quite a while. Small restaurant with a lovely friendly atmosphere. Came here primarily based on Tripadvisor reviews and we were delighted we did. Stayed for one night in Limerick with my wife, away from the kids so wanted something special for dinner and this was just perfect.

Very friendly staff throughout the night, which always helps! We had a lovely selection of french dishes which were all really great. Onion soup, Escargot, Hake, Slow roasted beef and a delicious desert platter for 2! Staff explained a little bit extra about the dishes which was lovely too. Booked well in advance that week and this is needed as they are generally full (on a saturday night anyway). Teas and coffees came with some fantastic little mini brownies, mini eclairs and chocolates, something I had not seen before in a restaurant, they were all delicious too!

Cost was surprisingly cheap in my opinion, 80 ish euro for 3 amazing courses and wine. Would go back here in a heartbeat. Will definitely be back here next time in Limerick.

I ate here on a rainy tuesday evening in october, but still, sitting by the windows looking out over the shannon was pretty nice. Service was informed, polished and friendly :) I had the goats cheese tartlet to start, and the fantastically tender 'Seven hour shoulder of lamb' as my main course... It was a finely cooked meal, the meat was like thick jelly in a very very good way! I'd definitely like to return and be able to sample the wines, the list seemed impressive.
Only change I could suggest would be to add table cloths to glam up the place a bit, the wood on it's own is a bit bland looking and loud sounding with cutlery knocking about, but that is a ridiculously minor point.
