“Lived up to expectations - fantastic hotel!”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

Just returned from a girly break away at No1 Pery Square and it certainly lived up to the fantastic reviews. Excellently located within walking distance of Limerick's lively city-centre, the staff were all friendly and welcoming and were happy to accommodate every request. Dinner in the restaurant was SUPERB, definitely the nicest meal I've had in Limerick. Breakfasts both mornings were also delicious with loads of choice. The treatments in the spa were excellent and we really enjoyed the beautiful thermal suite - a perfect place to switch off and relax! Our only concern related to some ambiguity in relation to the price for the spa package we had booked but this was addressed on the day. Perfect place for a girly weekend away and we were very happy to fall into our comfy beds after a late night dancing in the nearby nightclub....We will definitely be back, many thanks :)

The manager and all the staff could not do enough for us and were extremely friendly. The front desk team were given four tickets to a special local "Irish night" and as we were from Bermuda and not familiar with the "local entertainment" it was very kind and thoughtful of them to give us the tickets and help us to find the location. We enjoyed the evening a great deal and it was an event we would never have known about or thought about attending.
The hotel dinning room is a treat: staff friendly and knowledgeable as well as being efficient - pleasure.

Room Tip: Very conveniently located away from the main street but close to the center of everything. All the r...

I stayed here with my partner for a couple of nights in August. We both loved it. It was a highlight of a week travelling around Ireland. I'm from Limerick originally so the central location made it very easy to meet up with friends in the city centre. But the hotel is also located in the most attractive part of the city surrounded by lovely Georgian buildings and the Peoples' Park. So it has a calmer and more relaxed feel than the main shopping and business area just a couple of streets away.
It has a very personal feel - the staff get to know you very quickly and ask about your day when you're going past reception. They are also happy to take plenty of time to chat which made it seem like a friendly place.
We stayed in one of the Georgian rooms. They're a bit more expensive than the standard rooms but I would recommend them. They're beautifully decorated, very spacious and have really comfortable beds. The Georgian style bathrooms are lovely too. Our room was in the front of the hotel and had nice view over the square and the park.
One of the nights we were there was a Monday and the restaurant was closed. But we knew in advance from the website that it closed on Mondays so we ate in town instead that night. It was open on the Sunday night but we were calling to see friends that evening so we didn't get to try it for dinner. But we had breakfast there both mornings and it was fantastic. There was a lovely menu and everything was freshly made to order. I had a cheese and charcuterie selection one morning which was a bit different from the normal choice on hotel menus and I had very good eggs Benedict the next day. My partner had a fry one day and pancakes the next and said they were both delicious.
One slight drawback is the parking which is in a yard down a well maintained laneway on the opposite side of the street. We always got a space in there but it was often very full and one morning another driver was having a lot of problems getting his car out past others that had partly blocked him in.
Overall though it's a really lovely place and I'd fully recommend it for a trip to Limerick.

We stayed here for two nights over a weekend. Can't have any complaints really. The rooms are a good size and well decorated. In fact, the hotel in general is very well decorated, looks like it's been recently done up. The staff were all very nice. The hotel is centrally located to Limerick city, about a 5 minute walk to the middle of O'Connell Street. There was an excellent choice of hot food for breakfast. Probably the widest choice of hot food I've seen in an Irish hotel. A lot more to choose from than just the usual Irish Breakfast. We ate in the restaurant one evening. It was decent food without being spectacular. Reasonably priced as far as I can remember.

Would definitely recommend.

Just returned from a great weekend spa break with the girlfriends. The hotel was lovely, nice decor, clean rooms but above all the staff were so helpful and friendly. In my opinion if a business can get this part right then the customer is happy.

The hotel is very central so it is very easy to venture out for a bit of retail therapy or bars and restaurants. We ate in the hotel and the food and service was fantastic. We spent a couple of hours relaxing in the spa, only wish we had more time to stay longer. We were on a special deal so the value was excellent.

Again big thank you to all the staff for a very welcoming and relaxing stay.

We stayed two nights in this beautiful hotel and had a wonderful time.

The location is perfect in one of Limerick's beautiful Georgian streets and overlooking a lovely park and church, but just around the corner from the city center and a short walk to the fabulous waterfront.

The hospitality was amazing from the second we walked in the door. The staff here are first class in every way. The décor is elegant and beautiful combining a clear recognition of the hotel building's Georgian heritage while managing at the same time to be contemporary.

The downstairs bar is intimate and cosy. The upstairs restaurant and breakfast room is elegant and tasteful (the floorboards are a very special touch that shows how much attention the owners put into design) and the food and wine are superb.

Although we went for the cheapest room we got an upgrade into one of the larger Georgian rooms which was spacious with a large bathroom and a cot for the baby (who got lots of attention and affection from the staff).

We will definitely go back and would strongly recommend it to others.

By the way all the negative rubbish you've read about Limerick - forget it: It is one of the handsomest towns in Ireland and well worth a weekend in the city centre. To date the tradition has been to stay in some of the hotels outside Limerick.

This hotel is - along with the rejuvenation of the city centre in the last decade - part of a trend that will hopefully bring more and more people back to this great city.
