We stayed in the Maldron for my sister's hen party last weekend. I cannot compliment this hotel highly enough. All of our rooms were close together. The meal we had was absolutely DELICIOUS and the location worked perfectly (10E taxi to city centre for 4 people!) The hotel couldn't do enough for us- from storing a few hen party essentials in their cold room to carrying glasses to our rooms!!A very special thank you to Aisling and Caitriona for organising an unexpected welcome surprise in the bride's room of bowls of sweets, jellies and marshmallows and dips. Such a lovely, kind thought.
This hotel is PERFECT for hen parties and I highly recommend it!!

We stopped off here to break a longer journey. The concierge was friendly and helpful on our very late arrival. Our room was clean and our bed was comfortable.
We didn't get to use the pool nor did we have breakfast here as it was a flying visit.
There is a nice outdoor seating area which is always a bonus in suburban areas.

My family and I stayed at the Maldron for two nights while touring Limerick and looking at the university. On the website the hotel looked beautiful and the photo they had of the view was absolutely stunning, I can honestly say that is all fake because the hotel is run down the view is of a noisy trailer park in the industrial area. Furthermore, the hotel has a damp carpet smell, our neighbors were so loud and had us up all night. Moreover, there was dog poo all over the stairs that smelt and remained on the carpet for three days and two nights! When looking at a hotel I suggest looking elsewhere because this hotel was a big disappointment.

Not a great hotel ,old drink glasses in hallway .dirty soda cans on balcony. Horse tied up on grass across the road .breakfast just ok,staff ok,would not stay again
..the horse across the road was. A dead giveaway.no air conditioning or fan and couldn't open balcony because of proximity to next room and noise

Room Tip: Don't expect much but ok for night if passing throug

Dear Jeannie,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and it's apparent in this case that we fell short. If you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to give you the great hotel experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of.

Sincerely,

We stayed at this hotel for three days last week. The staff was friendly but there were many problems. We were in rooms 355 and 356 in the far left-hand section of the building as you face the door. These rooms were so hot we could not sleep. We raised a concern but were told there were no other rooms available, no fans were available, and there was no way to open the windows farther to ventilate. Moreover the housecleaning staff opened the drapes fully and let the sun bake the room all day. These rooms are separated from the rest of the hotel by multiple fire doors and the temperature rises every time you cross a door.

The rooms were not in great condition and the amenities were bare-bones. No water, just plastic cups. Soap was from a dispenser - no lotion or face soap. The halls smelled like tobacco smoke even in the nonsmoking part of the hotel.

There is a Genuine Irish Traveller Camp across the road. The Irish Travellers were out at all hours of the night, with sketchy looking people looking through the cars in the front parking lot. I found their antics entertaining and interesting, but others may be threatened.

Room Tip: Avoid the 350's rooms at all costs. You would be better off sleeping in your car.
