We found this B and B by accident whilst searching in Kilkenny but what a happy accident it was under new management it was so good we decided to stay an extra day after Collette, the lady running the establishment in the absence of the owner made us so welcome. She pointed out so many things to do in Kilkenny she should maybe be employed by the tourist board of Ireland.

We are just back from a wonderful weekend in Kilkenny. Everything about the weekend was wonderful but what made it for my husband and I was this charming and warm filled guest house. We could not have asked for anything more. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by the host Eimer. She was so welcoming and she hade us feel at homing straight away.
The room, ensuite and house in general was spotlessly clean and fresh.
The breakfast was so filling and served with a great smile and great sence of humour by Colette. There was nothing Eimer nor Collete wouldn't do for us. Nothing was a problem. My husband is disabled and Eimer was so accommodating.
The location of this bed and breakfast is so central and yet away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It's a magic place to stay for it only takes 5 minutes to walk into the city centre and yet the B &B is situated in a very quiet street beside the river. So quiet and peaceful.
All we can say is that we will be definitely back here and again and we wish Eimer ever success in this new venture which she has taken over only in the past couple of months. She is the perfect host.

Having recently stayed at this B&B, I can fully echo the sentiments of recent reviewers. With the B&B now under new management, the B&B is warm, up-to-date and very comfortable. The location is right in the heart of Kilkenny, with lots of on-street parking. Eimer, the lady of the house, is very friendly and accommodating and couldn't do enough for us while we were there. I would not hesitate to go back or to recommend it.

We ended up at Eimer's bed and breakfast after having seen quite a few other accomodations around town - and how glad we were ! Not only was the price very reasonable, but Eimer was a gracious and helpful host, with advice about good spots to eat and visit. The front room we were offered was cosy and spotless, within easy ( five minutes) walking distance of the heart of the city and all the attractions, while far enough to allow us to sleep in the next morning. Breakfast was bountiful and delicious. Parking in the town was hard to find, but there was paid parking available right next to the guest house, a few feet away. There was a pretty park with beautiful trees on one side, and the river a few steps from the house, providing a lovely view. We were sorry to have only stayed one night, and are planning to return very soon.

This B&B is under new management. New host, Eimer had been there only 2 months and is doing a great job, with spotless rooms and ensuites, a great breakfast and a genuinely warm personality. An unusual feature in our smallish but cosy room was the carpeted bathroom - welcoming on a cool morning. Location is central, beside the river, with the main part of the town within easy walking distance. Sleep quality was good, bed for two was firm with sheets and blankets, rather than the seemingly ubiquitous duvet - a welcome change in our opinion. We did hear some people passing by from the nearby pub in the early hours but they kept moving. Definitely worth a look if you are staying in Kilkenny.

Room Tip: A room at the back may avoid possible street noise, but front rooms have a nice view of the river.

My friends and I stayed here last weekend. I was a little worried at first because I had seen some of the reviews here but we wanted to find a place in the city centre close to everything so we took a chance.
How delighted were we to have ended up here!! It has a new owner (Emer) and she could not have done more to make our stay a pleasant one. The place was absolutely spotless and she does a fantastic breakfast. It's a really pretty b & b and is right on the river close to Kilkenny Castle. There was a little bit of noise at night but that's only to be expected in the centre of a city on the weekend. I believe it's much queiter in the middle of the week. I would definitely stay here again (maybe with my boyfriend next time!) and I would definitely recommend it as a place to stay if you like to be surrounded by shops, restaurants e.t.c.

Stayed here for one night with friends on package deal , the only good thing about this place is the location ,but a 4am when trying to sleep and the crowd from the night club are on the streets shouting , the location aint so great any more. When we arrived ( fully paid for before we arrived )we were asked for deposit for cleaning ( spillages/make up on sheets etc ) before we had seen the room! The carpet in rooms needed to be hoovered , exension leads running on floor , musty smell in rooms , decor was so outdated , alot to be desired, when checking out of the rooms they were checked immediately after us (how degrading ) , will not be returning again !

Room Tip: be prepared for noise at night
