“Great Place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2008

We just got back from our trip to Ireland, and our stay at Rosquil House was one of the best. It is very nicely decorated with a large room. The breakfast was wonderful and Rhoda was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

The Rosquil House has large rooms, modern amenities, and is very, very clean. Phil and Rhoda are great and our stay was very enjoyable. The primary tourist street is a 1 Km walk. Not too bad. There is a pub two or three doors down and it was all locals, which was cool. I'd stay there again, without a doubt.

  • Liked — Clean and modern
  • Disliked — The city's lack of street signs!

We spent two days at the Rosquil House in Kilkenny after stumbling upon it completely by chance, and would recommend it to anyone who is visiting that part of Ireland. Phil and Rhoda Nolan are delightful hosts, and our rooms (we were traveling with our two teenage sons) were elegant, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Our breakfast was delicious (lots of yummy homemade treats), but the best part of all was getting to know Phil and Rhoda. They took such good care of us that we almost felt like family by the end of our stay - it was hard to leave! Their recommendations for dining out and things to do were perfect for us, and they have a fascinating background and many interesting stories to tell. Our trip to Ireland was one of the best family vacations we've ever had, and our stay at Rosquil House was one of the things that made it so special.

Kilkenny was our last stop in our trip to Ireland. Before heading to Glendalough and Dublin, we stayed at the lovely town of Kilkenny.

Rosquil House is a beautiful B&B. Very modern if you compare it to the others B&B we stayed. The rooms was big and the bathroom also. It has a bathtub which make my best friend extremely happy.

I was very happy with all the help Rhoda and her husband gave us. They were very nice and all the previous contact by e-mail was fast and without any problem.

The only negative side for us was that it was a long walk to the city centre. We had a car but Kilkenny had a lot of traffic and we prefered to leave it on the B&B. We had to walk like 20 minutes to get there. It wasn't a big deal, but I thought I should mention it.

The breakfast was superb. We were tired of the Irish Breakfast - it was out 11th day in Ireland - so we tried the House specialties and was delicious.

I absolutely recommed it!

This place takes B&B's to a new level.More like a boutique hotel.Imacculate room with everything one could need. The lady that runs the house is friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfast in the morning was nicer and more personal than any hotel.Great location short walk to the city centre.

During our whirlwind tour of Ireland, we stayed at Rosquil House one night. The hosts were so attentive and professional- when we arrived with not much time, Phil called around to get tour times of the nearby castle as well as procured us some awesome local dinner reservations. The room was beautiful and spacious- we felt absolutely pampered. It's an excellent value!

I´ve just come back from a 7 days tour in Ireland and cannot but confirm the good critics about this place.

The room was large, clean and very nicelly decorated.

The breakfast was very good, with fruit, yoghourts, bakery, etc. and of course Irish breakfast or hash.

I would certainly recommend this B&B. Thanks Rhoda!
