Stayed here last week with my girlfriend, reception staff were lovely couldnt offer to help enough, tuppers bar is small but staff were very nice, the room was just beautiful and then we had a meal in the Yindees restaurant. My girlfriend wasnt a huge fan of spicy food but the manager on duty, I think his name was Ian explained the menu and really went out of his way to make sure our meal was spot on. I have dined in a few oriental restaurants over the years but this restaurant is probably the best I've ever experienced just beautiful.
Most definately will be back!!

After experiencing a few four and five star hotels in Ireland that had suffered in recent times and lost their 'atmosphere' it was a huge delight to find such passion for service and excellence in Lyrath.
From being greeted by Tom at the door, checkin through to all of our onsite experiences our stay was relaxed, extremely comfortable and a great experience.
Yindees restaurant was excellent, fine dining in La Perla was a perfect evening and even room service and the babysitter was great!
Our two little boys loved the pool and the walled garden playground!
Our room was absolutely perfect.
All in all we achieved exactly what we had hoped for a relaxed two night family break. Will be back!!

Lyrath estate hotel was like spending a weekend in Downton Abbey. Everything about it was time out. The staff were lovely, the food was excellent and the rooms were spacious and well equipped. There was acres of parkland to walk in and Kilkenny City was minutes away

We booked the Lyrath at very short notice and got a great package for 3 nights stay in an Executive Suite. The Hotel is everything you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The Executive suite was well appointed and spacious in all aspects. The best thing is that there was no noise from the corridors outside or from the rooms next door. The Breakfasts were lovely and dinner in the Thai Restaurant second to none. The Gym, although there are not many machines it did the job. The two best things about this hotel are the grounds which are very scenic and relaxing and well worth a walk thorugh, the other is the Staff. They were all extremly friendly and Polite. They really went out of their way to make you feel welcome. We will be returning.

Room Tip: Rooms are downstairs and away from any noise.

I happened to stay in this hotel for my partner's little brother's wedding and fell in love with the place. It is an excellent spot for a romantic break: from the breathtaking grounds and view to the food service everything is perfect. It has a great atmosphere and the staff are very professional and helpful. It is quite expensive.
My only criticism is the gym area. Since the hotel houses a huge conventions centre and a spa you would expect the gym to offer much more than just 2 treadmills, 1 cross-trainer and a bike.
I would still say "Go on, treat yourself". You will be wisely spending that bit of disposable cash.

Room Tip: Even if you get the cheapest room you will get a fabulous room!
