We have been to Ireland numerous times, but never to Kilkenny. We are not picky travelers, we just want a nice room and a warm meal with a pint. The Kilford Arms did not disappoint. We arrived around 8:30 PM and had a lovely meal in the dining room. The Salmon Salad was fresh and delicious! We retired to our room which had every amenity a western traveler could want. A comfortable and warm bed, a nice bathroom, and in room coffee and tea. The breakfast was included and we could choose from Full Irish to yogurt and fruit. We ended up having some business meetings, and the staff was accommodating and directed us to quiet areas in the bar where we could be alone with fast wifi. All in all it was a lovely stay with the same Irish hospitality that has been shown to us time and time again!

Room Tip: Away from the lift

Beautiful hotel ideally located in the heart of Kilkenny, however I found the rooms in need of some updating from the old style block tv's, to the dated bathroom decor, the tap handles came off and the hot tap didn't work, very spacious and a good supply of instant coffees etc in room.
It could be a fabulous place to stay if given some much needed tlc and updating

Perfectly located in the heart of Kilkenny's bustling centre the Kilford Arms is a lower cost alternative to others in a similar location. Rooms are fine and 12:00 check out is a big bonus. A little bit noisy at night on the weekend but only a minor negative. Late breakfast is also a good touch for those who have been celebrating the night before.

It was the very beginning of our travelling around South Ireland and left the warmest memory till the end of trip.Comfortable and WARM suite, friendly atmosphere, perfect irish breakfast, exelent location in one of the most beautiful streets of Kilkenny. We'll never forget this wonderfull place! Thanks a lot!!! We stayed on Saturday and were ready to possible weekend noise, but it was not disturbing.

Room Tip: Than far room from the street than it quieter, maybe

Nice accommodations, great location, parking, evening entertainment!
Would stay here again for at least two nights on next visit to Kilkenny (plenty to see and do within walking distance).
Wish some of the front desk personnel were more helpful.
