I stayed in the Kilford for one night with a group of 13 excited ladies last weekend on a hen night. We traveled up from Ennis and had no problems finding the hotel. On arrival we were welcomed by a very friendly receptionist. we had family rooms and found each one to be very clean and tidy. The restaurant staff were also helpful and friendly.
The bar in the hotel is amazing with a blend of old world and modern day charm. The hotel has one of the best smoking rooms ive ever seen and was kept spotless all night. There was a young guy working in the late bar that night and i cant remember his name but he was just amazing he just never stopped going all night and was left alone quite a bit by the manager on duty so a big thanks to him.
I will defo be booking back into the Kilford arms for a full weekenfdwith my boyfriend. Its right in the center of Kilkenny with access to all facilities.
Big thanks to all the staff who made the Ennis Hen so enjoyable and cant wait to go back......

My wife and I and our teenage and young adult children had a weekend away to celebrate an anniversary. The hotel and Kilkenny gave us a weekend to remember. This hotel was central, great food, great service, and very clean. The kilford bar with its Karoke gave us some great fun, while the super bar, O'Faolains gave us a great atmosphere for all ages to enjoy. Then straight to an amazing niteclub to dance and boogie to the late hours. The Kilford Hotel had something to suit all ages and tastes. Everyone enjoyed it. We will definately book another stay in the future.

This is my first review but hopefully not my last. We stayed in this hotel on a recent trip to Ireland to visit family. Its quite decieving from the front as it opens up in to quite a large hotel. The staff are very helpful and the location is ideal for exploring Kilkenny. We had a family room which was quite a nice size. The restaurant food was outstanding and the restaurant manager was very friendly. All in all a great stay and would recommend.

For a celebratory weekend event I booked 6 of my family members to stay in this hotel, primarily because they wanted to avoid low standards previously encountered in B&Bs. Unfortunately, the Kilford Arms was a big mistake - shoddy decor, mouldy dirt around the shower doors, multiple flies left visible in the bathroom light-shades, peeling wallpaper, not to mention the glassy eyed, scantily clad young-ones staggering through the lobby at all hours of the early morning. If you don't mind being surrounded by, and sharing accomodations with, party-bopping drunkenness in a shoddy hovel, then this is definitely the place for you. Otherwise, avoid avoid avoid...!

I stayed here at the weekend with my husband and I am so dissapointed. Our room was old with a stale smell, overlooking the car park. The mattress was in the most awful state leaving us crippled in the morning. There were two women smoking in the corridor, not surprised as there was a big dirty ashtray next to the lift upstairs. We should have known when we were asked to pay in full on arrival.
