the hotel was very busy, on check in we were given a room in the basement of the hotel, we had to take the lift to the 1st floor and then walk back down all the stairs to get to the room with our suitcases. there was no window in our room, it was like being in a dundgeon, i had booked this hotel at least 6 weeks previous. i contacted reception and asked to be moved and was told the hotel was full, told them i wasnt happy that i'd booked this weeks ago, eventually after alot of long silences i was told they had a room but it would be very nosiey. we took the room anyway and there was no noise at all, only the usual noises of people going up and down the corridor, we did enjoy our stay here in the end, the breakfast was lovely and we also had dinner here, it was tastey with good service but maybe a little expensive for what we got.

Unless you are a hen or stag party, stay well away from this hotel. It's very noisy, parties in rooms and people running up and down corridors shouting at 5 & 6am. It was mentioned to staff the next morning but they were not too concerned! On the plus side it's clean and central.

Room Tip: Don't get a room facining out onto the main street, or at the side entrance as it's very noi...

We stayed at the Kilford arms for 2 nights in June, Lovely hotel staff all very nice and polite we had breakfast both days in the amazing dining room with the carved wooden dining chairs really unusual and food great food too. The room was really large and comfortable. With tea making facilities, lovely clean bathroom which has shampoos. Conditioner and body wash suppiled. Also comes with an iron. The only downside was the music playing in the nightclub until 2am which was very loud if you can ignore that its a great hotel.

Room Tip: As far away from the bar as you can get so as to not hear the music.

We stayed in this hotel on a 2 bb and 1 dinner voucher and we found it excellent. The staff couldn't have been more helpful in every way. The room was clean and quiet with plenty of linen and tea/coffee. The dinner was satisfying the breakfast was HUGE.the location is very central to all amenities and would recommend this to anyone although I'd imagine it could get a little noisy at the weekend with the nightclub but we didn't expierance this as we stayed week nights. Will be back again

We stayed at the KIlford Arms hotel for two nights last weekend. The hotel is lovely, from the reception staff to the bar staff and restaurant staff, we had a voucher for a two night stay with breakfast each morning and a two course dinner, the breakfast was really goood, as was the evening meal, the restaurant is an old church and is really nice. On arrival we were told that our room was quite large and if it was too big ,it could be changed!!!. The room had three single beds and a double bed, for a family it is very spacious, which in itself is unusual, the room had tea and coffe making facilities , with ample supplies of each, which is also not always the case . We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The Kilford Arms Hotel was clean, close in walking distance to everything in the city center, had available parking at the hotel and the staff were very helpful. If you are trying to stay on a budget but still in a central area and are driving then this is a good hotel. It would benefit greatly from a paint job, new carpet and doing away with some of the décor but it was clean and like I said the staff were very friendly and helpful. Only ate lunch in the attached restaurant, which was a toasted cheese with tomato, but it was good.
