Amazing selection of sandwiches, freshly made to order. Some nice additions, like chilli jam served either hot or cold. Great value for money, as huge sandwiches but very cheap. And see if you can resist one of their homemade cakes, they're so good. They do a great coffee too! Just a little place by the river, but well worth a trip. They have seating outside or take a seat on the bench by the river overlooking the famous castle :-)

If you want a quick coffee or bite to eat, this is the place to go. Just across Tynan's Bridge near the base of the castle.

A great variety of fresh, tasty and filling sandwiches that ensured you're both satisfied and well nourished for long day in the office, the van or on the site. Now in it's second generation of family ownership, they're still making great sandwiches, rolls, blaas, other bits and bobs. All out of a shop not much bigger than a phone booth.

Best coffee in Kilkenny - FACT. Tea & a flapjack - €2.00. Balkan prices.

Phone in your order in advance and rush by and collect it 20 minutes later.

Once upon a time, spiced beef was only eaten at Christmas in Kilkenny. Now you can get it all the time and it's packs a powerful sambo with iceberg salad, some onions and a good lash of mustard or horse radish sauce. Thanks to Blaa Blaa Blaa.

Great sambos on a shoestring, save a couple of euro every day and get the news of the day with a "twist". If O'Brien's went this route, they'd be still there. They chose to dupe ordinary lads and lasses with conjoined "doorsteps".

This small cafe is an excellent little place to get a sandwich to takeaway and eat in the castle grounds! It's tiny but i would highly recommend a visit as you can pretty much order whatever sandwich/ wrap/ toastie you feel like!
