On our day in Ireland, after a LONG, exhausting flight, the a harrowing first experience driving on the OTHER side of the road, we quickly checked into our hotel, The Pembroke Hotel (highly recommend!) so we could do a quick look around the town before we collapsed. We were too tired to wait for a normal dinner time, so stopped in the Hibernian for a quick bite. We were glad that we chose this place. Old-world-look with very friendly service. My daughter had the turkey dinner and I had the roast beef dinner...both were quite delicious and quite filling. We also had a Smithwick's beer, since the brewery began in this town...YUM! A bit roomier than your average pub, but this wasn't average! Very relaxing and would highly recommend.

The hotel was lovely just a pity your staff member in the lounge was so rude and unfriendly.

I went up to order some food as it took forever for someone to come to my table I was told in a rude voice sit down and I will come over to you.

Came over never said hello just stood there on till I gave her my order she wrote it down said nothing and walked away.

Came with the food drop it down never asked would we like sauces anything else nothing just walked away.
Never came near to see was our food alright very unfriendly no smiles we were just such an inconvience to her.

Her name was Karlina served on the 26th May at 13.19

I paid the bill at the bar with her still never asked was our meal alright no thank you or good bye very very poor service on behalf of your hotel.

Good pub, with some nice bar mirrors and old signs. It is a converted bank , so has lovely high ceilings and a roomy feel.We have eaten here quite often, but usually settle for the seafood chowder, which is served with a nice brown bread.Substantial without breaking the bank, if you pardon the pun.

Thank noel k
