Happy with service, room, shower and breakfast and pool. One night (3am-5am) there was a lot of shouting several times in the corridor from some drunken lout with a wedding. I had to work the next day. This can happen anywhere.
Reception said there was nothing they could do. But that's not true, is it? they could always offer us something. A good night's sleep is the core item in a hotel stay.
They could have offered: an upgrade, a move to another floor, a drink or flowers for my wife, a discount on a meal or another stay - anything.
It's still a very good hotel but I was unlucky and the reception should not argue with customers who complain. Also some of the water jet buttons seem to be broken in the pool but i notice the same in other celtic tiger hotels around the country.
it's a little walk into town (maybe 15-20 mins) and a fiver taxi trip.
