“Absolutely fantastic experience”

Beautiful setting, Excellent atmosphere, food was outstanding, and served with a smile, the staff are helpful and Friendly and nothing seemed to be to much to ask for. Facilities are clean and kitted out to a high standard, cant wait to go back. Ian the General Manager is a legend!

“Very poor”
Reviewed November 16, 2013

We were at a function at the hotel last friday evening and paid 140 euro for a meal for 4 people and it was a disgrace. The bread rolls were taken off the table in the middle of the starters being served. The main course, beef (no choice) was very poor and obvious reheats with gravy poured over the meat to hide this. The vegetables were served cold and were sent back and served partially cold again. The salt and pepper were removed from all the tables mid way throught the main and we asked for them to be brought back.
The serving staff were sour faced and practically threw the food at the tables. My wife and I were talking when a plate of food was shoved between us without so much as an "excuse me". She had to jump back in her seat to avoid a plate full of food in her face.
I've had better food and service in greasy spoon cafe's in back streets in Dublin at a fraction of the cost.
If anyone is reading this and planning a function in the Lyrath, my advice is to go elsewhere.

“Beautiful setting, spacious rooms, food is not five star.”
Reviewed November 5, 2013

We stayed with our two small children, it is ideal for young families. Walled playground, walks, bikes, pool, kids club. Lobby is magnificent. Rooms are luxurious and spacious. The food lets this hotel down.

“romantic dinner”
Reviewed November 5, 2013

we hadn't booked before we checked in so we had no choice with a sitting time. That said, the food was excellent. There wasn't a cheese board on the menu but they were happy to provide us one and it was very good,

“Great value break”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

Had a nice weekend break in Lyrath Hotel. Food in La Perla restaurant was excellent. Had the goats cheese starter and monkfish main, Helena went for the prawn starter and trout main. Food was excellent. Staff were very pleasant and helpful however our young waiter was a bit out of his depth when discussing the wine list.
