What a great stroke of good luck to spend our first two nights in Ireland in the house of Mary and Ger Glynn, a handsome place, with a warm country feel, and a simple elegance. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was superb. We arrived at Twin Oaks in early June, and the grounds were resplendent. The house is a short drive to the city center, and probably not a distance most would want to walk unless time were of no consideration. Mary and Ger were fine hosts, and gave us much appreciated pointers about the locale and points beyond. We hope to visit them again one day soon.
We stayed at "Twin Oaks" just outside Kilkenny for two nights. We found "Twin Oaks" a very good example of what we expect to be a real genuine Irish B&B. Kind and very helpfull hosts - the respectful way. A nice and clean room - with a view - the Irish way. Ample and freshly made breakfast - the tastefull way. The experience we had hoped for. Thank you Mary and Ger! Arden&Silkeborg, DK
My family and I spent four nights at this small BandB. It is situated in the countryside not far from Kilkenny. The area is very quiet and relaxing. The owners are nice and welcoming people.
Our room was spotless and cosy. It had no tv set but there was a living room with lots of books, a tv set and coffee and tea making facilities for guests' use just next to our room.
In the morning we were greeted by Mary's smile and by her delicious breakfasts .Last but not least the price was really reasonable!!!!
I highly recommend it.
