Recommended by our B&B, we went here for dinner. Found they had drumming sessions early and music later. We were directed to an area for dinner (the place has lots of areas to sit), and were squeezed into the spot where the music played later. I suggest if you want to see the music, and have a good spot, sit in that area and eat if you get there early. We had fish and chips, which was good, and came out really quickly.

We went based on friend's saying this was good. It was in fact horrible food which was bland and not tasteful. The only good thing about this was at night they have someone who entertains you with music of Ireland which was the only good part about this visit.

This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend at home, and by the owner of the B&B. I am so glad we went--The bar food is excellent all the way from Irish Stew to Cheesecake. We had a choice of watching the World Cup, or listening to Irish musicians. We chose music. This Inn has an interesting history--it was originally owned by Alice Kyteler, now remembered as the witch of Kilkenny. You will have an opportunity to read her story as you peruse the menu.
Don't hesitate--this place is great!

Was advised to eat at Kyteller's for Bangers & Mash - it was very good!! Historic Inn makes you fell like you've gone back a few hundred years!!

What a great place. The food is 1st class and the entertainment terrific.
The night we visited a guy was showing people how to play the Barron (The Irish drum)
It has always fascinated me and thought it must be very difficult to play but at the end of the evening they seemed to get the hang of it. Excellent night and have been before when they have had the Irish music and dancers.
Would recommend a not to be missed visit when in Kilkenny.
