My husband and I had lunch in this inn. We thought the servings were larger than usual. The soup and sandwiches were good and filling. I enjoyed the roast pork which was the special of the day.

This is a really nice pub with a lot of character, food is nice, service is very fast, staff efficient. If you like traditional irish music you will like this place, there is also a lovely big real fire upstairs which is a nice touch. Worth a visit.

We stopped for lunch in this enchanting place. We weren't in Kilkenny during the high tourist season, so had no trouble getting a table. Lots of history to read while enjoying a great lunch and a "SMITHWICK".
