We popped in one night and caught some trad, along with some Irish dancing, while dining upstairs. Quite entertaining.
The next night we went back for more, on the Street level. Entertained by local storytellers as we sipped on Bulmers and Guinness.

Having read the great reviews here, we stopped by at Kytelers during our trip for a light tea and some pints. Bar men were nice and friendly and the pints were fine. However, the food choice was in my view, quite expensive for pub grub. I had 2 starters instead of a heavy main, but for the price they were shockingly bad value. the deep friend brie at 7.75 came out and it was 2 tiny discs of cheese which looked and tasted bought in, with a few leaves and cherry tomatoes. The smoked salmon plate at 9.50 came with 3 small slices, the same leaves and a tiny pot of coleslaw. For the price, its was really bad value I thought. One other complaint was that a passcode was needed for the toilet dooor(!) I'm sure they must have their reasons for this, and the bar staff told me the code, but when I opened the bathroom door, a small boy about 5 years old was stood there "Oh thank you! I was stuck!" he'd obviously gotten in behind someone and couldn't reach the release button inside the door to get back out! Nice pint & staff but I wouldn't go back

I visited Kyteler,s Inn recently with a group of female friends.

The atmosphere was really good and this was enhanced by the Acousticats who kept us entertained with their excellent music.
Well done to Diarmuid and his team.

We had a steak and a glass of wine. The food was good, prices reasonable and the staff friendly. It is a busy place but we did not feel rushed and it was nice and cosy on a cold evening.
