Kyteler's have discovered a gold mine in showcasing the "Bodhran Experience". Helen McLouglin is a traditional drum (bodhran) performer and teacher who offers a highly entertaining "hands on" experience for tourists from all over the world. It was a blast! Everyone was encouraged to join the circle and discover rhythmic talent that we never knew we had. Helen's guidance, community building and great sense of humour helped to create a most enjoyable evening. The Beamish and great pub food helped, too!

The lesson in playing the Bodhran was an enjoyable evening. Even the most reluctant participants found themselves swept up in the excitement.

With relations home from America we descided to take a trip to kytelers inn for a bite to eat and take in some Irish music and boy were we not dissapointed.now it was very busy and we had to wait for a table not long mind you but we were in no rush.there bar food menu has lovely traditional dishes on it and very well priced. Service was good for drinks and food, staff we found were busy but yet had time to make us welcome.love there big open fire which was glowing and the two lovely musicians playing there.over all we had a great time here and our American relations could not get enough of this old Irish charm.would highly recommend but be prepared for it to be busy
