From the first day we arrived in Ballyroe, on our first meeting with Mike we both realised that this hotel is special. The day itself was everthing we imagined and more, this was thanks to the friendly atmosphere, attention to detail and helpfulness of all the catering staff in Ballyroe. We have nothing but praise for every moment - timing of our arrival, the drinks reception and pianist were fantastic and the meal was absolutely delicious, top class. The function room was beautifully arranged and decorated perfectly to our specific requirements. Mike's guidance put all the bridal party at ease with his polite manner, professionalism and obvious experience. We strongly recommend Ballyroe for a wonderful wedding experience, we could not fault it in any way and would rate out experience ten out of ten we thank Ballyroe for the wonderful memories they have helped create and an exceptional wedding experience. Your attention, kindness and professionalism is appreciated and will never be forgotten. Thank you.

Presumed my other half did this months ago but turns out he forgot. Had our wedding in the Ballyroe Heights last August and would highly recommend it. Took care of all preparation beforehand, met every need and want we had, provided a beautiful venue for our special day. Everyone praised the food and the overall service. All management and staff were very accomodating, understanding and extremely pleasant and easy to deal with. Wonderful food, views and will definately be returning.

My family and I spent two nights B&B in this Hotel. Even though it was Esater and it was quiet the staff were helpful and friendly. The peace and tranquility was heavensent. Our views from the hotel were idyllic and serene. No one should pass this Hotel without giving it a once over.

Room Tip: Though there is no swimming pool in this hotel there is fantastic beaches close by in Fenit and Tral...

We attended a family wedding weekend there, so there was a huge party of us staying over. The hotel was absolutely fabulous, the food was divine and best of all the staff could not have been nicer they were so obliging and polite in every aspect be it the reception, the bar or the restaurant even the cleaning staff were extremely friendly. The room was amazing very clean and comfy. The bathroom was perfect and absolutely spotless which is the first place I would look. The views were amazing the location of the hotel is just picturesque. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone be it a couple or family or friends get together. I definitely intend on going back again. Thank you Ballyroe Heights Hotel!

Room Tip: Room with a balcony.

We had a lovely stay at the Ballyloe heights hotel. We stayed in a Family room it was very clean and spacious. Unfortuately we could only stay one night. We had a meal in bar which was great and very reasonable. Breakfast was delicious with the breakfast room over looking the beautiful views of Kerry. We will hopefully get to stay longer the next time we visit.

We stayed here for a family wedding in late 2012. With young children, we were apprehensive about staying on unfamiliar ground for 3 days, and considered renting a cottage, but were reassured that the hotel would provide a perfect family room with the required facilities.

The hotel is wonderfully situated, not far outside Tralee, although the entrance from the road is slightly dangerous, with a nice avenue. The reception area is large and inviting, and lovely and warm on what was a very cold day. After checking in, we set off for the room, bit of a maze getting there, and were dissappointed with it. Utterly bland room, with a view of a concrete wall.

We had been promised a fridge and microwave (food and milk for babies) and neither was in the room. We had been promised a family room set up for us, but there was no cot (luckily we had brough a travel cot) and a bed too many, which had to be removed to make room. When we informed the staff, they were most helpful, getting the bed out quickly etc., but were at a loss to understand how we could have been told there would be a fridge and/or microwave available in the room, and wouldnt provide either, although they did allow us to use the facilities in the kitchens.

Various lights in the room and corridoors didn't work, the shower didn't work properly, the tv didnt work properly. Again, all were fixed/removed/replaced very quickly, but I suppose that's hardly the point.

Breakfast was fantastic, every day, and all the wait-staff were great, very helpful and very good with the kids. Lunches and dinners were fine, bar prices reasonable. The bar area itself is modern but anonymous - like so many other hotel bars.

The wedding couple were thrilled with the place though, and as far as I can recall most of the other guests were complimentary (perhaps many of them have reviewed already). Maybe we got a dud room, maybe it just wasnt the place for us, or we werent the people for the place. We paid €100 per night for the B & B, two adults, one small child, and one babe-in-arms. I don't feel robbed, but I don't feel as pleased as some of the other reviewers.

Dear Cathalr_99,

Thank you for posting your review. I am delighted that you found many aspects of your stay pleasing. We are extremely proud of our customer service.

I would be grateful if you could contact me regarding your maintenance and bedroom issues, in particular about a microwave oven and a fridge being promised when such a facility has never been and would never be available in our bedrooms.

I hope to see you again in the future.

Mark Sullivan,
General Manager.
