Stayed at the Meadowlands Hotel, Tralee in April 2014. We went on a trip with Newmarket Travel touring the South West of Ireland with the Meadowlands Hotel as our base. The food and staff were excellent, nothing was to much trouble. The rooms were cleaned every day and fresh towels provided. Wouldn't hestitate to go back.

Room Tip: Our room was overlooking the entrance to the hotel and we did not experience any noise or disturbanc...

Been here a good few times for lunches and dinners with minor problems but we have been back but today when the bar was quiet for lunch we had major problems, four of us went for lunch someone in the group bought drinks while we ordered lunch. We ordered the lunch and while we were eating we were interrupted four times and we were watched by the staff, we felt really uncomfortable and uneasy and when they cleared our plates they wanted to see the receipt for our drinks as they wanted to know they were paid for as they didn't appear on the bill, before we could ordered desert our bill was given to us when we did order desert and tea we got dirty spoons and cups had to ask twice for the milk for the tea and there was lipstick on the spoons, despite asking for clean spoons the same spoons kept coming back went to the bar to get new spoons all together and to top it all our quiet lunch was ruined by the tv being constantly turned up for the football wont be going back felt like we were criminals and stealing drinks from them !!

Perfect in every way. Comfortable, warm, friendly. Family run hotel with attention to detail. Have been coming here for over 10 years and never tire of the welcome and comfort. The restaurant is superb, never disappoints, fresh local produce beautifully cooked and presented. It should be on the restaurant list for Tralee, just 5min from the centre of town by car, plenty of parking.

Have visited the restaurant in Meadowlands a number of times and always found it excellent. A number of us went for a meal and it was really disappointing. When we arrived ,shown to our table and we asked for water which the waiter said he would bring while deciding on our meal. We ordered our meal and water again for second time together with house wine. Starter for two of us was cold and both of us thought the waiter(different from first) did not believe us when we asked for it to be returned to kitchen to be re heated. House wine was very good. Three had curry and two of us thought it very poor with very bland taste. Third person thought it ok. Water had to be requested twice more before it arrived. Desserts were enjoyed by those who had some. Will call again as this may be a once off night. Restaurant was not busy , not that this should ever be reason for bad service and poor food.

Stopped off here to have some lunch and watch the rugby match on the way to Killarney. We both had the seafood chowder and it was delicious. The atmosphere here is lovely with friendly and efficient staff. Service was fast and we were made feel very welcome. The big screen was an added bonus as it created an exciting atmosphere for the match. Will definitely be returning.

I arrived with three other family members before Christmas – one had a physical disability and is in her eighties. We received a friendly welcome. Both rooms were perfect – especially the room for the older person which was very roomy and suitable in terms of design. We dined in the restaurant on one evening and in the bar on the other – the food was good. Very flexible for breakfast – although porridge wasn't out in buffet they got it from the kitchen for the person who requested it. There was divine steamed fish for breakfast which is wonderful - as I prefer this to the ‘cooked breakfast’ – it was cooked to perfection. Location wise it is easy to find, a short walk from the town centre (although someone with mobility problems would need a car) and overall was great value. There seemed to be no problems with parking.
