“Very welcoming hotel”
Reviewed August 21, 2012

I am writing this on behalf of my parents. They stayed with the Meadowlands last week and had a wonderful time. So we would like to say thank you to Nigel, Siobhan, Claire and all the staff for making their stay so special. The room was lovely and the food was great. They couldnt ask for more. They will be returning soon !

A really lovely hotel just a five minute walk from the centre of Tralee. Rooms were lovely and clean with airconditioning. It's in a little from the road so you can't hear any of the traffic. Very good value and nice breakfast selection. Would definately stay here again!

Very nice hotel, comfortable setting situated off a main road so no traffic noise.
The service we got was very good, waiting time in the restaurant for breakfast was minimal. Food quality was excellent.
Bedroom was very comfortable. The general decor was a bit tired looking, but the ambience of the hotel made up for that. Could not eat in bar to to the noise of the trad entertainment on first night of stay. Second night bar food only but quality was good. Bathroom in my room needed to be refurbished.

Had Lunch Here last Saturday , Restaurant was not open , so we had to eat in the Bar , Waitress
could not bother to show us where the Bar was , she was more intrested in talking to her friend.
The choice of food from the Menu was at best limited , the main course was cold and bland , the
french fries tasted foul and nasty , Cheap Cheap, . The restaurant was empty only 4 people were having Lunch ,we could see why it was not worth the effort eating here .
It is not a 4 star hotel more like a 2 star , will never go back to this Motel , advoid at all costs .

We spent two nights in the Meadowlands and enjoyed it fairly well. The breakfasts were adequate but there was a limited selection of cereals and fruit juices. No prunes or grapefruit segments were on offer. No one came to ask if everything was alright nor were we asked if we wanted anything extra. We had to ask for more toast and to have more hot water added to the teapot. The room was very clean and pleasant and as it was situated at the back of the hotel, we had no difficulty sleeping; it was very quite and peaceful. The outside of the hotel could have been spruced up a bit with weeds growing between the slabs at one of the side entrances. We found the hotel a bit impersonal but on the whole were able to relax here.

Room Tip: Our room number was 219 and it was very peaceful, at the other end of the hotel from the bar where t...
