Myself, my wife and my 27 yr old daughter spent 5 nights at this hotel. We have stayed at a number of establishments in Tralee over the last 5 years but this one outshone them all. The staff were attentive and always willing to help. The room was always immaculate. The food was up to a very high standard and their was plenty of variety for everyones tastes. We will certainly be returning again next year. Many thanks to all members of staff we met for making our stay so enjoyable

Very nice hotel with quality rooms. Parking is a bit of a hassle, since you have to park on the street, but otherwise a nice hotel at a nice price.

Unfortunately it can never be more than a 3 star due to the size of the rooms. But their level of service is 5 star. On the premises there is a pub, a coffee shop and a restaurant

Rooms are very clean, and the staff is very helpful . The breakfast is very good and location is great!

I stayed in this wonderful hotel as part of an u13's rubgy group attending the Munster International Rugby Festival. On arrival we were met by the manager Eileen and a lovely receptionist Claire. Our booking was perfect' as i had emaied on room allocations for twenty four children and four adults. The kids wre in their rooms within a few minutes. We ate there for breakfast for the four days that we stayed and had one evening meal. We were looked after splendidly even when we had to change the time of our evening meal at short notice. From the bar staff to the rooms/ to the restaurant staff we were treated like royalty. We the adults loved it but the feed back from the childrens parents was even better. They were treated so well. The owner who met with us was a gentleman and even gave me his mobile number in case we had any special requests. The bedrooms were large and spotlessly clean. We were given a meeting room where we could brief the children everyday on their itinery. Last but not not least i'd like to say that in the manager Eileen we had the nicest friendliest person we could have hoped for. Nothing was a problem and god love her she seemed to be there at all times. I can't recommend this hotel enough. Jason Meaney. Portlaoise Co Laois.

Arrived in Tralee late, tired and without reservations or any idea where to stay. We luckily stopped in front of The Grand Hotel. Within a few short minutes we had not one room, but two side-by-side rooms. The front desk staff was friendly, helpful and brought me around the hotel looking at empty rooms to let me choice the rooms I wanted. (Obviously, off season, but still very nice!). The rooms were large, clean and quiet. The pillows were a little hard, but we hardly noticed. No parking provided by hotel, but we were able to park safely on the street for the night, with instructions on how and when to pay the meter in the morning. The location was great: Right in the center of town. We walked to restaurants, shopping and found a great, comfortable pub. Breakfast was included in the room and was excellent as well. A beautiful, classic hotel.

A friendly welcome on arrival always helps when staying in any hotel and I am glad to say I got one here. I did specifically ask for broadband before booking but when there was a problem with it, I was given special preference in using a separate office where I could get access to my laptop. This was much appreciated so thanks to Ingrid ! The bar had a great atmosphere and the food was great. All in all a place I would gladly visit again

We spent three night at the Grand, All the staff were lovely , the owner was hands on and interested. Tina the receptionist was delightful. Family room was very comfortable and spotless. The food was excellent. B/fast was excellent both in quality and value. It was cook fresh to your order and they were happy to make changes if you wished- no problem was their catch phrase. Lovely home made fresh Irish brown bread- there is no bread like it. They have managed to capture and retain the traditional " failte " the Irish were so famous for but alas seems to be disappearing.
