This is a beautiful hotel centrally located with lovely rooms and excellent meals The breakfast was superb!! There was an excellent choice and it was no trouble for the staff to adapt each meal to your own spec!! A good variety, well cooked and presented. We ate there 2 evenings out of three and would recomend the clam chowder!! The staff are all very helpful and pleasant.

We stopped here and managed to get a room without booking. Rooms could do with a little make over but they were comfortable and clean.
Unfortunately for us, it was Good Friday so no alcohol was being served anywhere in the town. The Guinness had to wait until another day.
Breakfast was nice, good selection and service.

After spending 3 nights sleeping by our mothers hospital bed side,we thought of booking a hotel room ,so we could have a shower, catch up with emails (free wifi) and take it in turns to sleep in a bed and get some rest ourselves.
I explained the situation to the receptionist at The Grand (that my sister, brother and I would all be using the room at different times and taking it in turns to sleep there.) She was so lovely as were all the staff, in catering for us at this difficult time. Their kindness was exceptional and went above and beyond the call of duty!
I'm afraid I have very high standards to meet where ever I go,however, I was not disappointed.
The nicest thought is you will be offered a menu for the pillows !
Duck Down, Memory Foam,Super Soft,or Hypoallergenic. What a fantastic idea. The rooms are spotlessly clean and a great size, the bed was so , so comfortable with crisp, white linen . There is a kettle and plenty of tea and coffee on a lovely tray placed on the dressing table .
The bathrooms are fabulous with superb showers over the bath and very good water pressure.
The service in the bar and restaurant was first class along with the food which was delicious!
I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to you and will look forward to coming back when next in Tralee .
Thank you to all the amazing staff.
Julie Day, Lisa Davis and Alan Chick

If you're looking to either play golf near Tralee (as we did) or simply want to stay in the area, I can't recommend The Grand highly enough.

Comfortable rooms, with choice of pillow included, nothing is too much trouble for the fantastic staff.

Bags carried to the room, clear directions provided to the golf club and anywhere else, wonderful bar and superb restaurant - everything for a hassle-free stay, with a tremendously warm welcome.

Dick and the team should be commended and it is no surprise that they were awarded the Trip Advisor 'Certificate of Excellence' in 2013.

The place is that good that I'm doing my best to engineer my next trip to Tralee!

If you are looking for a bed attached to a good bar this place will do. Sadly no one has updated it for a good few years, we had four rooms between our group and all four had doors that came away from their frames, didn't lock and the bathrooms were in need of renovation. To top this off the rooms at the back of the hotel are over(in) a nightclub so if put here don't expect any sleep before 2.30. On the plus side The restaurant serves a wide range of food at a reasonable price, the breakfast is generous and the bar staff will bend over backwards to help you out.

Stayed in Tralee simply because it was closer to Galway than Dingle (where we spent most of that day). When folks in Kerry asked where we were staying, they were all extremely confused why anyone would want to stay in or visit Tralee. Going in with low expectations we were pleasantly surprised by this quaint small town.
Positives: Recently updated rooms, free street parking at night, walking distance to lots of pubs and restaurants.
Cons: Their main business is bar/restaurant. Rooms are all the way in the back up several flights of stairs (you can get lost easily). A little pricey and did not include breakfast.
Travelers note: Bring a GPS! Tralee is full of one way streets that seem to turn and dead end instantly. Hotel is located by the statue on Denny St (Google maps address is misleading)
