We stayed at this wonderful hotel for three days during our trip to Southern Ireland.
BallyGary House was built in the 18th Century and was a majestic house surrounded by an orchard and boundary wall. Ballygary House was converted to a hotel and originally named the Manhatton Hotel. The Hotel was changed to BallyGary House in the early 80's. The hotel now has a Pavilion for Meeting Rooms and can cater for up to 200 delegates. It is situated in 6 acres of landscaped gardens and is simply gorgeous.
Our room was huge, about 40 feet long with the bed at one end and a lounge area at the other, it also had a huge bathroom which is simply the best.
Now the Hotel is well suitable for fantastic weddings due to its ability to cater for large weddings and grounds for photography.
The restaurant is 5 star (really ten star), the staff are wonderful and helpful, one lady called Kathleen was particularly helpful.
Food consisted of the following
Beakfast - either continental or a full Irish breakfast, and healthy options such as smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on a bed of toast.
Lunch: Have to admit we were out and about so did not have lunch but you can be sure it would be good
Evening: on 25th September it is our wedding anniversary so we went 'a la carte' which consisted of fingers of Sole to start on a bed of salad, 9oz Fillet Steak with vegetables and potatoes and chips with a pepper creamed sauce with brandy. For desert we had Coffee and Chocolate creamed deserts and the staff had decorated the plates with happy anniversary and gave us a free glass of champagne, We finished our meal with Irish Coffee.
This hotel is really good and recommendable. You haven't been to Ireland until you stay at BallyGarry House Hotel it is truly the best.

Room Tip: Our room was on the first floor room 118 it is quite and we slept well. The room is very well appoi...

Our first visit to Ireland by car and we stayed at The Ballygarry House for 3 nights, last week in September 2013. We had a spacious and well appointed twin room with bath, separate (powerful) shower cubicle and two wash hand basins, all with plentiful hot water, which was very convenient for getting ready in a hurry. The room had good size TV, a twin seat sofa plus a couple of arm chairs and coffee table, a dressing table and mirror, tea and coffee making facilities, an ironing board and iron, a hair drier and a decent size electronically lockable safe and plenty of power points. Not feeling well on arrival, I made use of room service on the first night for the evening meal, which was excellent, whilst my wife went down for dinner. The second and third nights we dined together in the restaurant and enjoyed excellent quality food and wine in pleasant surroundings with most attentive waitresses. In this regard I would like to single out Kathleen for whom nothing was too much trouble, either at dinner or breakfast. In general, the staff we met were all extremely helpful and attentive. Free fast wi-fi throughout the hotel was appreciated. This location is excellent for exploring the delights of Dingle, The Ring of Kerry and Killarney which was all we had time for, so, unfortunately, we had to give the hotel spa a miss. Maybe next time...

I absolutely love this place. We have stayed here twice in June and September 2013, and I cannot compliment the place enough. The food is delicious, the rooms are immaculate, the service and staff are so friendly and professional and the spa is perfect.

We loved this place so much that we have booked our Wedding here for 2014. We found their packages hard to beat, and Thys has been a pleasure to deal with.

For anyone looking for a nice break away, this is the perfect place to stay.
Full marks from me.

The Ballygarry House is a gem of a hotel that I enjoyed for a three night stay during September 2013. Spacious, quiet and very clean rooms. All levels of hotel staff were very approachable, friendly, and bending over backwards to help. Very economical. Breakfast is included in price of room, and offered a broad array of delicious continental and hot item choices. Be sure to try the fresh scones and jam. Dinner was first rate as well. Hotel is easy to access from highway, and downtown Tralee was a short 5-10 minute drive away for nightlife, shopping and other restaurant choices. I hope to return, and have no hesitation recommending this hotel as a first choice to others.

Had a most beautiful day at a wedding in Ballygarry House last weekend. Had never stayed in this hotel before but can't wait to return. The attention to detail both in the Hotel and in the Wedding Venue was perfection.

Beautiful comfortable rooms are also something this hotel can boast about together with all their staff. The food served at the wedding was out of this world and better than a top restaurant. I also noticed the lovely little sittingrooms off Reception perfect for a Sunday Afternoon visit.

Not sure why Ballygarry House is not rated as a five star.!!

I would have absolutely no reservations in recommending Ballygarry House to anyone.

Many congratulations on making this such a beautiful homely hotel.

I have just returned from a three night stay in this fabulous hotel. Impressed is really an understatement. The spacious and immaculate rooms, fabulous food, friendly staff, exemplary customer service and the relaxing Spa area - combined, certainly made this a holiday to remember. It is very rare that you find a hotel which excels in every area, the Ballygarry House certainly did, the standards here really were first class and my compliments go to the owners, management and staff - you must have all worked very hard to achieve this.

Whatever their formula, then may I respectfully suggest that they share it with others.......?! They have certainly 'got it right', so very rare in this day and age.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to friends, family or fellow travellers, and I hope to return again very soon.
