Had to stay here for work. Staff very nice. Were kind enough to feed me even though I arrived just after the restaurant had closed. If not for that, I'm afraid it would be a 2 star. This hotel is huge and feels like it badly needs a facelift. Most of the decor feels quite dated. In the morning, there was no water at all in my room. While the receptionist apologised, I was still charged full price. I don't remember what the food was like, think I just wanted to get out of there. Tralee is a great town. If you are staying there, I wouldn't use this hotel.

Many thanks for taking the time to write your review. I appreciate your kind comments regarding our staff and are pleased you took the time out to acknowledge their efforts.

We apologize that there was a problem with the water during your visit. Unfortunately we did have an unexpected leak. While the problem was being immediately attended to guests were offered use of alternative unaffected facilities.

Customer care and satisfaction is of great importance to us here the Brandon Hotel. We hope you will reconsider your position and stay with us again in the near future.

We booked a family room and were very unhappy with the standard and quality of the room (320). When we arrived the chairs in the room had a broken arm and the upolstery was ripped, handles missing off drawers, phone socket was broken, no hairdryer, grubby paintwork, drawer fell apart when we opened it and the toilet roll holder was broken. In general the room needed an overhaul and in my opinion not acceptable. On a positive the bed were comfortable.

Friendly staff. No general manager to be seen, only bar manager. No kids menu. No half portions. Hotel in bad need of a face lift. Its such a shame for a hotel thats in such a central location and used to be the place to stay and dine in tralee before.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review of our hotel. We appreciate your comments regarding our customer and property services.

Our staff members make a genuine effort to make our guests feel welcomed at the Brandon Hotel and we greatly appreciate your observation of their friendliness. In addition, our management team is on hand to support our staff and guests. Typically in the evening this would include department and duty managers.

Normally we would offer guests a children’s menu including half portions. We apologize for the oversight that this wasn’t available during your visit.

Our commitment to investing in our property is ongoing; currently we are undergoing renovations in the majority of our bedrooms and doing work to the exterior of the building also.

Thank you again, and we look forward to seeing you on your next visit to the Brandon Hotel.

Stayed a night in the Brandon on a recent mini break in Ireland.
The Brandon is in a great location in the center of Tralee. The free car park adjoining the hotel, makes for convenient transit of luggage from car to hotel (something that is by no means guaranteed in other city center establishments).
We rented two rooms that were functional and reasonably spacious and provided all the basic facilities you would expect. We thought this represented a real bargain at a combined price of 140 euro
Only quibbles (and these are minor) were that we struggled to encourage a warm flow from one of the showers (most likely user error!) and I would have preferred a freshly cooked, full irish breakfast to the buffet style on offer. That said, my scrambled eggs and bacon were really tasty and i appreciate this is a sensible compromise to make, in order to keep costs down.
There were many amenities available that we had insufficient time to access, but again these add to the value on offer at the hotel.
The staff were all professional, friendly and helpful. We would have no hesitation in recommending the Brandon and will stay again when we return to Tralee

I have stayed in this hotel many times over the past 4 years.
I find it very friendly & find myself very relaxed after staying there.
There is a great carpark at the rear of the hotel which is very secure!
There is a great gym & exercise equipment if you are into that.
I would advise anyone booking a room to look for one on 5th floor ( or top floor)
These rooms are more modern & better furnished then the other floors.
The staff are very friendly & helpful. The food is excellent & not over priced!
Well done to all! I'll be back......

Like the title says....it was a good nights sleep and the location is fine away from the downtown area but within walking distance. The beds were ok, and the room good. Lobby is really nice but the room was in the older part of the hotel. The breakfast included was a nice buffet, one of the better ones I got on my week in Ireland, but oddly, we watched the waitress ask every table if they wanted eggs....but us! After 15 minutes I finally asked if we got eggs with our meal and she said "yes what do you want?". Hmmmm...bizarre.

The place was pricey, but as we could not locate the main street in the downtown area after dark even with our GPS we stopped at the Brandon hotel since it was in a less busy section of town and had free parking in the back and figured the place was probably less expensive as well. Damn...we were wrong....upon checking kayak online...whoa this was the most expensive place.....could have stayed at the fancy place downtown for much less and saved ourselves the walk.

Thank you for taking the time to review our Hotel, we are glad to hear that you enjoyed our breakfast buffet; it means a lot to hear such positive feedback. Please accept my apology that there was a delay in your table being approached by our waitress. We do regret that you found the hotel to be more expensive than other hotels in the area, we have checked our pricing over the last four weeks, and our own website prices are on par with other three star hotels in Tralee. Unfortunately if you are booking through an online booking site the price will be higher due to commission being added.
Again thank you for taking the time to review our hotel and we look forward to welcoming you back to Tralee in the future.
