Denise Renehan was our host. She is amazing. The house was advertised as suitable for eight people. I brought my family from America to visit for eight days. Two sons, their wives, and two young children each so we were at nine from the start. Then my daughter decided she would join us with her baby just one year old. We knew we would be a bit crowded but we managed with one bedroom per family. Denise brought in a cot (pack n play) that looked brand new for baby Ireland. The blanket even had the picture of a giraffe on it which is Ireland's theme since birth. It was very fitting!
I needed extra folding chairs which looked brand new, plus a highchair. The house was immaculate and very roomy for a big family and all the company we invited in for a birthday party for the baby. And all the company we invited in for a birthday party for the baby.
It was wonderful that our 4 energetic young kids had the huge lawn area outside the kitchen door to run and play. The four beautiful bedrooms were upstairs (which the Irish call the first floor).
The Decor was amazing. We hid some of the nice things because of the four young kids. The kitchen was stocked with every possible utensil needed. Denise provided a lovely welcome basket of things to hold us over until we could run to the market.
The towels were actually big fluffy bath sheets. Luxurious. I brought my own small face cloths because that doesn't seem to be something the Irish provides. The toilet tissue was top quality and plenty of it.
The dishwasher options were not clearly marked but we managed. The clothes dryer has a tank behind the door towards the bottom. It needs to be emptied when the light shows up saying "tank". When you open the dryer door there is a sign that shows you how to get to the tank to empty it. There were garbage bags for our use and there is a dumpster on the promises to dump trash and recyclables.
From the initial communications with Denise and after looking at the prior reviews, we knew we made a wise decision to stay at this rental. What we were unprepared for was the welcoming we recieved from Denise and Donal. The welcome gift was unbelievable, and the house was perfect for the 8 of us! The location was easy to find and a pleasant walk to town, past fields with deer, a beautiful river and gorgeous flowers. The taxi ride to and from town was fast. The great restaurant/pub/wedding hall right next to the house was "made to order". The washer & dryer was a plus, and used. We will definitely contact Denise again when we return to Killarney. We could not hope for a better Irish host.
This was the perfect place for our active family to settle in for a few days of hiking, horseback riding, and a day trip to Portmagee. The bedrooms were all bright and comfortable and the kitchen was spacious with a big dining room table. It was especially nice to have a washer and dryer. Denise and Donal were extremely gracious and we so appreciated the generous basket of groceries that were waiting for us. It saved us from making a special trip that first night. There is also a convenient little store a few hundred yards away where you can get a few groceries. It's a 5 minute drive into Killarney so not bad if you want to go into shop, dine or hit the pubs.
The house was lovely, plenty of room for all the family. Lovely big kitchen and well equipped. I would book this house again without hesitation. Thanks Denise

Firstly, Denise who checked us in was so friendly and helpful and gave us great recommendations of where to go. She was even flexible with our check in time! The house itself is beautiful and very large! The beds were dressed to perfection and were super comfy with lovely crisp white linen and throw pillows. The towels were soft and fluffy!
With fresh flowers and croissants, brown bread and jams and other items stocked in the fridge.... It's the little touches that make No. 20 a five star stay!!!
